Wingman Metrics
A 21-and-over bar in Fort Wayne with a wine list that actually tries β that alone earns a second look. The list is compact at 14β18 bottles, but it punches above its weight for a place best known for burgers and late-night bar snacks. You're not walking into a wine bar, but you're also not staring down a wall of Barefoot.
The list spans California, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Argentina, France, and Australia β respectable geographic range for a neighborhood tavern with no sommelier on staff. There's a clear nod to crowd-pleasing staples (Kendall Jackson Reserve Chardonnay, Black Stallion Chardonnay), but the list earns credibility with picks like the Villarini White Blend from Grillo Sicilia, the Serra Da Estrela AlbariΓ±o, and the Belleruche Grenache Syrah from Chapoutier. The Two Hands Shiraz and Domaine Bousquet Cab round out the reds with some actual backbone. Gaps exist β no Burgundy, no Champagne, nothing for serious collectors β but this isn't that restaurant, and the list knows it.
Nine by-the-glass pours running $12β$15 is a reasonable spread for a casual bar setting, and the range covers whites, rosΓ©, and reds without leaning too hard on any one corner. The Sokol Blosser RosΓ© and Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc are genuine quality picks in the lineup, not filler. Rotation isn't confirmed, but the Wednesday half-price promotion applies to the full wine list, which means those $12β$15 glasses become $6β$7.50 β one of the better weeknight wine deals in Fort Wayne.
Belleruche Grenache Syrah (M. Chapoutier) β $30
Chapoutier's Belleruche is a reliable Southern RhΓ΄ne blend that typically retails around $15β$18, so even at the low end of the bottle range it's solid value β and on a Wednesday, it's basically a steal.
Villarini White Blend (Grillo Sicilia)
Grillo is still flying under most people's radar, and at a bar-food joint in Indiana, most tables are going to reach for the Chardonnay or the KJ Reserve out of habit. That's a mistake. The Villarini is the most interesting white on the list.
Kendall Jackson Reserve Chardonnay
KJ Reserve is perfectly fine wine, but it's a $20 retail bottle that feels like a reflex pick on lists that don't know what else to do with Chardonnay. The Black Stallion is a better call if you want California Chard, and the Villarini is a better call if you want to drink something with a pulse.
Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc + Buffalo Wings
New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc's bright acidity and citrus edge cut right through the fat and heat of a buffalo sauce. Loveblock is a cleaner, more serious expression of Marlborough Sauv Blanc than most bar menus deserve β use that to your advantage.
Wednesday β Entire wine list at 50% off every Wednesday night β applies to all bottles and by-the-glass pours.
π² The Bottom Line
Henry's is a bar that happens to take its wine list seriously enough to matter, and the Wednesday half-price deal is the kind of thing you should have already texted your friends about. Don't overthink it β show up, order the Belleruche, and feel good about your Wednesday.
Downtown-adjacent / Near West Β· Fort Wayne Β· Italian market and deli
Antonuccio's isn't a restaurant wine program β it's something more interesting: a genuine Italian market where you can eat well and leave with better bottles than most Fort Wayne restaurants will ever pour you. Come for lunch, leave with a Chianti, zero regrets.

Northwest (Jefferson Pointe / Illinois Rd corridor) Β· Fort Wayne Β· Upscale American Steakhouse
Eddie Merlot's Fort Wayne is a reliably well-run steakhouse wine program β proper storage, real glassware, a sommelier on the floor, and enough pours by the glass to satisfy a full table. The list won't challenge you, and the markups will sting, but if you want a classic California Cab with your prime beef and you want it done right, this place delivers.

BRU Burger Bar is genuinely great at what it does β burgers, fries, a cold beer. The wine list exists as an afterthought for guests who don't drink beer, and it should be treated accordingly. Order a craft draft, save the wine for somewhere that cares.

Nawa is a fine place to eat; the wine list won't embarrass anyone, but it won't excite them either. Grab the Amarone or the Broquel Malbec, ignore the celebrity bottles, and let the food do the heavy lifting.

Vinland Reserve is the rare Indiana winery that earns a second look β barrel-aged hybrids, honest Bordeaux imports, and some of the most approachable pricing in the region. Wine Wednesday alone makes this worth adding to the rotation.

Catablu is exactly what it needs to be for its neighborhood β a reliable, thoughtfully maintained list that won't embarrass you on a date night or bore you entirely. It's not a destination wine list, but it's a solid supporting act for a kitchen that clearly takes food seriously.
