Sixty-two labels in a ski town restaurant is more than we expected, and the list doesn't lean entirely on Napa Cab and house Chardonnay the way most mountain spots do. There's actual geographic range here — Alsace, Central Otago, Haut-Médoc, Côtes-du-Rhône — which signals someone put real thought into this. First impression: pleasantly surprised.
The bottle list pulls from France, Italy, Spain, New Zealand, and California without feeling scattered. Highlights include a Trimbach Riesling from Alsace 2021, a Tenuta di Nozzole Chianti Classico Riserva 2020, and an Alberto Ballarin Barolo 2020 — none of which you'd expect to find sandwiched between ski resort specials. The Charmail Haut-Médoc 2018 is a thoughtful Bordeaux pick that skews toward value-conscious Left Bank drinking. The list thins out on the natural wine and grower Champagne front, and there's no real domestic Pinot Noir depth beyond the lone Mohua from Central Otago — but for a 62-label list, the overall curation holds up.
Twenty-two by-the-glass options is a serious commitment, and the range is genuinely broad: sparkling, white, rosé, red, and dessert are all represented, which is rare at this category of restaurant. Prices run $12–$32/glass, and several of the pours — the Trimbach Riesling at $16/glass and the J.L. Chave Sélection Mon Coeur at $16/glass — are wines worth ordering. The dessert by-the-glass section, featuring a Petit Vedrines Sauternes, a Casa alle Vacche Vin Santo, and Blandy's 10 Year Boal Madeira, is a genuine standout and way above average for the setting.
The Bottom Line
Harvest clears the bar that most ski town wine lists don't even bother approaching — there are real producers, genuine regional diversity, and a by-the-glass program with actual depth. Markups skew steep, as expected in Vail, but the J.L. Chave and the Madeira show that someone on staff is paying attention. If you're eating here, don't default to whatever's loudest on the list — dig into the by-the-glass section and you'll be rewarded.

Matsuhisa Vail carries recognizable Burgundy producers, which suggests someone cares about the wine program at some level — but the public-facing documentation is so thin we can't make a credible case for the list as a whole. Until there's transparency on pricing, glass pours, and the full bottle selection, Vail's wine-forward crowd would be taking a blind leap ordering here. Go for the food; treat the wine as a bonus if something good shows up.

Colletta's wine list is a focused, all-Italian effort with fair pricing and enough depth in the whites and sparkling to reward the curious drinker. The red selection is the weak link, but producers like Feudi di San Gregorio, Inama, and Villa Bucci prove that someone cared when putting this together. If you're in Vail and want a bottle of Falanghina without getting gouged, this is your place.

Terra Bistro is a genuinely wine-friendly room in a resort town that often treats wine as an afterthought. The sommelier on staff and the reported focus on Portugal, Bordeaux, and California suggest a list built with some care — just expect Vail-level pricing to go along with it. If you're eating here anyway, let the sommelier guide you rather than defaulting to the obvious bottle on page one.

Turf. Kitchen + Tap looks like a solid resort wine program — broad enough geographically to suggest some genuine effort, casual enough in setting that nobody's going to quiz you on your order. We'd feel comfortable sending a friend here for a relaxed dinner with a decent glass of wine, but we'd stop short of calling it a destination for the list itself. Come for the views and the Choriqueso; the wine will take care of itself.
