The wine list at Harry's lands exactly where you'd expect it to — familiar names, nothing adventurous, nothing offensive. It's the kind of list that was built to not lose sales rather than to win fans. That said, for a Cajun-Creole seafood spot in Ocala, it gets the job done without embarrassing itself.
The 20-40 bottle list leans hard on California and New Zealand crowd-pleasers with a small nod to Italy. You'll find Kim Crawford, Kendall-Jackson, Meiomi, and Santa Margherita — essentially the greatest hits of the grocery store wine aisle. There's no deep-cut Burgundy hiding in the back, no interesting Spanish white to match the Cajun spice, and no orange wine curveball. What's here is approachable and safe, which isn't a crime, but it's not a reason to get excited either.
Eight options by the glass keeps things simple, and the $9–$13 price point is genuinely reasonable for a sit-down seafood restaurant. Don't expect the rotation to change with the seasons — what's on the list today was probably on it six months ago and will be six months from now.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc — $9/glass
At nine bucks a glass, this is a clean, zesty Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that actually makes sense next to spicy Cajun cooking. It's a known quantity for a reason, and the price doesn't punish you for ordering it.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
Most people overlook Pinot Grigio at a seafood spot because it feels too basic, but Santa Margherita is the bottle that made Alto Adige Pinot Grigio famous for good reason — it's crisp, mineral, and quietly excellent with anything coming out of the Gulf.
Meiomi Pinot Noir
Nothing wrong with Meiomi as a casual sipper, but it's sweet, soft, and built for people who are afraid of red wine — not for matching with bold Cajun and Creole flavors. You're paying restaurant markup on a bottle you could grab at Publix for $15, and it just doesn't belong at this table.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc + Shrimp and Scallop Orleans
The bright citrus and herbal snap of Kim Crawford cuts right through the richness of a butter-based Orleans sauce while echoing the brine of the shrimp and scallops. It's not a complicated pairing, but it works every time.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Harry's isn't where you go to geek out on wine — it's where you go to eat well and not get gouged on a glass of something decent. For Ocala, that's a fair deal.
SR 200 / Southwest Ocala · Ocala · Thai
Royal Orchid makes solid Thai food, and you should absolutely go — just order a Thai iced tea or a beer and pretend the wine list doesn't exist. If someone at your table insists on wine, point them to the Riesling and move on.

Carrabba's Ocala isn't a wine destination and doesn't pretend to be — but Wine Wednesday (call ahead to confirm it's still running at this location) can turn a steep markup into a reasonable deal. Come for the Chicken Bryan, drink the Riesling, skip the Caymus.

Downtown Ocala · Ocala · Charcuterie and Tapas
The Keep is doing something genuinely different for downtown Ocala — a rotating mead program, thoughtful wine picks, and markups that actually respect the customer. If you're in the area and care about what's in your glass, this is the move.

South Ocala · Ocala · American Steakhouse
Texas Roadhouse is a great place to eat a steak and throw peanut shells on the floor — we respect the chaos. But the wine list is purely functional at best and an afterthought at worst, so come here for the food and the fun, not the Cabernet.

World Equestrian Center · Ocala · Seafood
Juno & The Peacock shouldn't be this interesting, and that's the whole point — a seafood restaurant inside an Ocala equestrian complex with Chacra Patagonian Chardonnay and Eyrie Pinot Blanc is a genuine surprise. Markups lean steep and the format feels set-it-and-forget-it, but the underlying list has real taste behind it.

The Polo Pony is a reliable pour for the horse show crowd — familiar bottles, fair enough execution, and enough range to keep a table happy. We wouldn't drive to Ocala for the wine list, but if you're already at the World Equestrian Center, you'll drink just fine.

The Sole Proprietor is a reliable, crowd-pleasing list that does exactly what a classic seafood institution should — it just won't thrill anyone looking for adventure or a fair deal on the big names. Order the oysters, pick the DuMol, and leave the Opus One for someone else's expense account.

Red Lobster Riverside isn't a wine destination — it's a seafood chain with a wine list that exists because it has to. If you're here, drink the Riesling or the Prosecco, enjoy your biscuits, and keep your expectations calibrated accordingly.

Market Broiler Riverside is a dependable night out for seafood — the wine list won't excite anyone who's been paying attention, but it won't embarrass you either. Send a friend here for dinner without hesitation; just don't tell them to geek out on the wine program.
