Wingman Metrics
For a steakhouse in a mid-sized Georgia city, this list has no business being this thoughtful. Fifty-three labels covering South America, Portugal, Burgundy, and Napa — organized by weight and flavor profile — signals that someone here actually cares. It's not a random vendor dump; it reads like a curated list.
The red selections are the clear strength: you get entry-level crowd-pleasers like the High Note Malbec from Uco Valley alongside serious bottles like Nickel & Nickel Quicksilver Rutherford Cab ($200) and a 2019 Opus One ($670). The mid-tier is especially well-constructed — Pombal do Vesuvio from the Douro, La Solitude Côtes du Rhône, and Illahe Willamette Pinot Noir give the list genuine geographic range. The Klinker Brick Old Ghost Zinfandel from Lodi rounds out an oddball corner that most steakhouses wouldn't bother with. Whites and dessert options appear lighter based on the data, and the list leans heavily red — which makes sense for the format, but light drinkers may feel a bit underserved.
Thirty-six by-the-glass options is a legitimately impressive number for a restaurant this size — most steakhouses give you six and call it a day. The glass pour range runs from $9 (Stella Rosa Moscato, a crowd-pleaser split) up to $21 for the Penfolds Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz. The glass-to-bottle pricing looks consistent and honest throughout the observed selections.
The Bottom Line
Graysons puts together a wine list that would hold its own in Atlanta, let alone Newnan. The by-the-glass depth is the real headline — 36 options with fair pricing means you can explore without committing to a bottle or breaking the bank. If you're in Coweta County and want a proper glass of wine with your steak, this is your spot.

The Ridge is a solid night out if you're in Forsyth County and want a steak with a side of live music and forest air — the wine program just isn't the reason to come. Until the list is published and verifiable, order something bold and red, enjoy your filet, and let the scenery do the heavy lifting.

Marc Bar & Restaurant is essentially the estate dining room of Chateau Elan winery, and the wine list makes no attempt to be anything else — every pour is an in-house production. If you're already on property and curious about Georgia wine, the pricing is fair and the by-the-glass availability across the full list is genuinely guest-friendly. But if you're traveling specifically for a serious wine experience alongside your steak, this list will leave you wanting.

The Stag is doing more than most steakhouses bother to do with wine — a thoughtful sparkling section, fair markups, and a few genuinely interesting whites make this list worth engaging with rather than defaulting to a cocktail. If you're eating steak in Gainesville, this is where you want to be drinking.
