Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Fogo de Chão Tysons skews heavily toward approachable, recognizable labels — the kind of names you'd spot at a grocery store end-cap. Forty-six labels sounds substantial until you realize a big chunk of it is by-the-glass pours that lean on brand familiarity over genuine exploration. It's a list built to move volume alongside mountains of meat, not to challenge anyone's comfort zone.
To their credit, there's a sensible South American thread running through the list — Catena Malbec, Zuccardi Malbec Jorjão, Bodega Garzón Albariño, and Alamos Malbec all have a logical argument for sitting next to a plate of picanha. The problem is that the rest of the list is padded with California crowd-pleasers like Meiomi Pinot Noir and The Prisoner's Unshackled blend — fine wines, but not exactly adventurous picks for a Brazilian churrascaria. There's no meaningful Rhône presence, no Tempranillo, and nothing from Brazil itself, which feels like a missed open goal. The list doesn't embarrass anyone, but it's not trying particularly hard either.
Thirty-six by-the-glass options is an impressive raw number — and the range runs from $10 for a Natura Chardonnay or Alamos Malbec up to $30 for a Chandon Brut Mini. The sparkling section is unusually broad for a steakhouse, with Nicolas Feuillatte at $29/glass and even an alcohol-removed Mionetto sparkling for the sober-curious crowd. What's missing is any meaningful rotation or sense that someone is curating these pours with intention beyond covering every major category.
The Bottom Line
Fogo de Chão Tysons has enough South American options — particularly the Argentine and Uruguayan pours — to keep the wine program honest in the context of a Brazilian steakhouse. The markups are steep and the list doesn't push you anywhere new, but if you stay in your lane (order the Alamos or Zuccardi Malbec, eat a lot of beef), you'll leave happy. Send a friend here for the meat; tell them to keep it simple with the wine.

· Bridgewater · Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chão Bridgewater is not a wine destination, and it doesn't try to be. The list is competent chain-restaurant territory: crowd-pleasing producers, steep-but-not-shocking markups on most bottles, and a wide enough by-the-glass selection to keep a table of six happy without debate. Grab the Alamos Malbec, skip the Chandon Mini, and save your wine focus for somewhere that earns it.

· Los Angeles · Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chão's wine list isn't trying to be a destination — it's trying to support a meat-forward meal without emptying your wallet, and it largely succeeds. The South American focus makes geographic sense, the pricing is fair for LA, and there are a few genuinely good bottles hiding in a otherwise safe list. If you're going for the full churrasco experience, grab the Lapostolle Sauvignon Blanc or the Catena Alta Chardonnay and let the gauchos do the rest.

· White Plains · Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chão White Plains is not a wine destination, but it's not trying to be. The by-the-glass program is wide enough to find something that works with the meat parade, the Malbec lineup is appropriately on-theme, and the $10 entry point keeps things accessible. Markups trend steep as you climb the list, so stay in the $10–$20 glass range and you'll leave satisfied. Send a friend here for the beef; the wine is just along for the ride.
