Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Fogo de Chão Los Angeles is a tightly curated 62-label deep dive into South American wine country — Argentina and Chile dominate, and the whole thing feels like it was built to match the parade of grilled meat hitting your table. Prices top out at $50 and start under $21, which for LA is practically a public service. It's not adventurous, but it's honest about what it's trying to do.
Argentina and Chile split the room, with Mendoza Malbecs and Chilean Chardonnays forming the backbone of the list. There's a respectable range of white styles — Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, even a Torrontés/Riesling blend from Amalaya — that signals someone thought about the food-wine dynamic. The top of the list gets interesting: the Catena Alta Chardonnay at $50 and the Lapostolle Cuvée Alexandre Atalayas at $39.50 are serious producers at prices that won't make you wince. What's missing is depth in reds beyond Malbec and a few house-label blends — if you want Cab, Carmenère, or anything from Brazil's Sul, you're largely out of luck.
By-the-glass options are not documented in our current data, so we can't confirm what's pouring or at what price. Given the price-per-bottle structure — most bottles sitting between $20 and $35 — a standard restaurant markup on pours would still keep things reasonable. Worth asking your server what's open.
The Bottom Line
Fogo de Chão's wine list isn't trying to be a destination — it's trying to support a meat-forward meal without emptying your wallet, and it largely succeeds. The South American focus makes geographic sense, the pricing is fair for LA, and there are a few genuinely good bottles hiding in a otherwise safe list. If you're going for the full churrasco experience, grab the Lapostolle Sauvignon Blanc or the Catena Alta Chardonnay and let the gauchos do the rest.

Beverly Hills · Los Angeles · Italian
Il Cielo punches above its list size with some genuinely smart Italian picks and pricing that — especially on the Barolo — borders on generous. It's not a destination wine list, but it's a thoughtful one, and in Beverly Hills that's worth something. If you're going for a special occasion bottle, head straight to the Piedmont and Montalcino section and don't look back.

West Hollywood · Los Angeles · Italian
A big-ticket Italian and Napa list with a genuine glass section: 14 wines by the glass from $15 to $85, then 89 bottles from $55 to $3,000. Start with the Prunotto Barolo at $30 a glass, or the Guidalberto at $145 if you want a Bolgheri bottle, and confirm prices because the page is undated. This unrated guide covers the posted drinks page, not service, storage or markups.
Westwood · Los Angeles · American, Steakhouse
A Cabernet-first list with 30 glasses and a long bottle book, but no wine prices posted online. If you want a known price, the $9 happy hour Bonanza Cabernet by Caymus is the one posted figure, and if you want to step away from Cabernet, try the Il Bruciato Super Tuscan by the glass. This unrated guide covers the posted wine list, not service, storage or markups.
Hollywood · Los Angeles · Neapolitan Italian, Pizza
An all-Italian list that runs from a $50 Bardolino to a $300 Emidio Pepe Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, with 15 wines poured by the glass. Start with the 18 / 72 Rocca del Principe Fiano di Avellino next to the $25 Margherita, or the 16 / 64 Primo Monte orange Trebbiano if you want something off the Chianti track, and confirm prices. This unrated guide covers the posted wine list, not service, storage or markups.
Downtown Los Angeles · Los Angeles · French-inspired, New American
A 19-wine glass list where 17 pours land between $14 and $18. Start with the $13 Noble Vines Pinot Grigio or the $14 Intercept Pinot Noir, and put the $17 French onion soup next to a $52 bottle of Whispering Angel; confirm prices, since the list is undated. This unrated guide covers the posted wine list, not service, storage or markups.
Venice · Los Angeles · California/New American with Italian and Mediterranean influences
A European-leaning list with extra brut Champagne, skin-contact whites and a 1997 Loire dessert wine, so plan to ask questions. Start with the Yura Jurançon at $75, or order the Moulin Touchais by the glass at $25 with the cheese selection, and ask what the unlabeled prices mean. This unrated guide covers the posted wine list, not service, storage or markups.
· White Plains · Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chão White Plains is not a wine destination, but it's not trying to be. The by-the-glass program is wide enough to find something that works with the meat parade, the Malbec lineup is appropriately on-theme, and the $10 entry point keeps things accessible. Markups trend steep as you climb the list, so stay in the $10–$20 glass range and you'll leave satisfied. Send a friend here for the beef; the wine is just along for the ride.

· Kansas City · Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chão Kansas City isn't a wine destination, but it's not a wine disappointment either. Prices are fair, the South American focus makes thematic sense, and the VIK and Lapostolle picks show there's a ceiling here above the house pour. Come for the beef, drink the Eulila, leave happy.

Dunwoody · Dunwoody · Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chão Dunwoody isn't building a wine destination — it's running a smart, scaled by-the-glass program that keeps the price of entry low and the list familiar enough that you never feel stuck. The $6 South American tier is a genuine win for a night centered on meat and fire. Send a friend here for the Alamos Malbec and the picanha; just don't send them expecting to geek out.
