Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Del Mar lands with a certain confidence — 101 labels, 34 by-the-glass options, and a Coravin program that signals at least some ambition. It skews heavily toward recognizable names and crowd-pleasing regions, which fits the Mediterranean-restaurant-on-the-waterfront energy just fine. Don't come here hunting for grower Champagne or obscure Jura producers; do come here knowing you'll find something decent without a fight.
The list moves between California heavyweights, a handful of Italian stalwarts, and a few genuinely interesting European picks that suggest someone, at some point, thought carefully about this. Bolgheri shows up via the Gaja Ca'Marcanda 'Magari,' Amarone via Allegrini, and Greece gets a cameo through Alexakis Assyrtiko — nods toward the Mediterranean theme that actually land. The California bias is real though: Caymus, Patz & Hall, Flowers, and DAOU all make appearances, which reads more Napa steakhouse than Santorini terrace. A notable quirk: Del Mar dedicates a full section to alcohol-removed wines — Mionetto, Luminary Chardonnay, Luminary Cabernet — which is an unusual commitment and probably smart for a certain West Palm Beach clientele.
Thirty-four pours is genuinely generous, and the Coravin section means you can access bottles like Gaja Ca'Marcanda 'Magari' ($50/glass) or Flowers Pinot Noir ($32/glass) without committing to a full bottle. The range spans $12 to $50 per glass, which is a wide spread — there's an entry point for everyone, though the upper end gets pricey fast. The sparkling selection by the glass is solid, covering Prosecco, Cava, California Brut, and Veuve Clicquot.
The Bottom Line
Del Mar is a Reliable pour in a city that doesn't always try that hard at wine — the Coravin program and the 34-glass lineup show real effort, and the Assyrtiko alone is worth the visit if you're ordering seafood. Markups on the California icons are steep, so steer toward the European picks and you'll drink well without feeling taken.

· West Palm Beach · Italian
For a pizza and pasta spot, Elisabetta's glass program is legitimately ambitious — 60 options, fair pricing across the board, and enough obscure Italian varietals to reward the curious. We can't speak to staff knowledge or glassware quality from the available data, but if the execution on the floor matches the ambition on the list, this is one of the better wine spots in West Palm Beach, full stop. Go in, skip the Santa Margherita, and let someone at the table order the Brocard Chablis.

Sant Ambroeus Palm Beach is a reliable, if unambitious, wine experience — Italy and France, done cleanly, priced for Royal Poinciana Way. If you're here for the scene, the truffle pizza, and a glass of something Italian and uncomplicated, it delivers. Just don't come looking for value or discovery.

The Capital Grille Palm Beach Gardens is a reliable wine stop if you're already there for the steak — just don't expect the list to excite you. Lean toward the glass pours, chase the value picks, and avoid the temptation to drop $30 on that Orin Swift.

Le Bilboquet Palm Beach is a safe, French-focused list that suits its dressed-up crowd without pushing anyone toward something new or surprising. Send a friend here for the vibe and the steak frites — just go in knowing the wine spend will feel steeper than it probably should.

If you want to spend an afternoon actually understanding Willamette Valley wine across a single focused producer, there's no better setup in West Palm Beach. Just don't show up expecting a world tour — this room has a point of view and it's Oregon, all the way down.

Zaytinya's wine list is one of the more focused and honest Greek programs you'll find at a mid-to-high scale restaurant in D.C. The by-the-glass selection is wide, the pricing doesn't insult you, and the Greek variety depth is genuinely impressive. If you've been waiting for a reason to finally figure out what Xinomavro tastes like, this is your spot.

Zaytinya's wine list is a rare thing in New York: a focused, regionally coherent program that commits hard to Greek and Eastern Mediterranean varieties without making you feel like you need a flashcard to order. The by-the-glass selection alone — 18 options, all under $18, featuring producers most wine lists wouldn't touch — makes this worth visiting even before the food arrives. If you eat here and order a Cabernet, that's on you.

Brassica might be hiding a thoughtful, Spain-forward wine program behind that Waldorf lobby — but we can't confirm it, and hotel dining rooms rarely earn the benefit of the doubt on pricing. If you're eating here for the butter-poached lobster or the rack of venison, go for it. Just keep your wine expectations measured until someone puts the actual list online.
