Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Davis' Pub fits on a cocktail napkin — and honestly, that's probably where it was designed. Eleven bottles, four of which are Copperridge house pours, tells you everything you need to know before you even sit down. This is a beer-and-crabs kind of place, and the wine program is there out of legal obligation, not passion.
Nine still wines and a couple of sparkling options round out a list that reads like the bottom shelf at a grocery store — Copperridge, Josh Craftsman, 19 Crimes, Mark West. There's a token Malbec from Diseño, a Brancott Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, and a Campo Viejo Rosé from Spain, which at least gesture toward some geographic range. But there's no depth here: no aged bottles, no interesting producers, no sense that anyone curated this beyond hitting the major varietals. The gaps are everywhere — no Riesling, no red Burgundy equivalent, nothing that would make a wine-curious diner sit up straight.
Nine pours by the glass sounds generous until you realize four of them are Copperridge — the kind of wine that exists to say 'we have wine.' The remaining five (Mark West Pinot Noir, William Hill Chardonnay, Diseño Malbec, Brancott Sauvignon Blanc, Josh Craftsman Cab) are at least recognizable brands, available for $6–$8 a glass. There's no rotation, no seasonal program, no sense that the BTG list has been touched since the menu was printed.
Brancott Sauvignon Blanc — $8/glass
It's the most culinarily useful wine on the list — crisp, herbal, and a natural foil to anything briny or buttery coming out of the kitchen. At $8 a glass, it's the one pour we'd actually order twice.
Campo Viejo Rosé
Nobody comes to a pub in Eastport ordering Spanish rosé, but Campo Viejo is a legitimate producer and this beats every Copperridge on the list by a country mile. It's flying under the radar because the regulars are ordering Bud Light — their loss.
Josh Craftsman Cabernet Sauvignon
Josh is everywhere, and not in a good way. It's a mass-market California Cab with heavy marketing behind it and not much else — and at a pub serving crab dip, it's the wrong wine for the wrong room.
Brancott Sauvignon Blanc + Crab Dip
The Sauvignon Blanc's citrus edge and herbaceous snap cut right through the richness of warm crab dip. It's a classic acid-meets-fat move, and it works even when the wine isn't particularly fancy.
❌ The Bottom Line
Davis' Pub is a great place to drink — just not wine. The list is inoffensive and priced fairly, but it exists as an afterthought in a place where the real action is cold drafts and steamed crabs. Order the Brancott if you must, then pivot to beer.

If you're in Annapolis and skipping wine here in favor of a generic hotel bar down the street, that's on you.
