Walk into Chop's and the white tablecloths and dim lighting signal that someone here is taking this seriously — or at least trying to. The wine list arrives with some heft to it, and the adjacent wine bar adds a layer of ambition you don't expect from a steakhouse on Jefferson Boulevard. It's not a wow moment, but it's a respectable one.
The list leans hard on California and domestic U.S. — which is fine for a steakhouse crowd, but it means you're swimming in Cab-heavy waters without a lot of interesting detours. Italy shows up with a Pinot Grigio on the glass list, which feels obligatory more than inspired. There's no deep dive into Burgundy, no Rhône coverage worth mentioning, and the producer-level specifics are frustratingly murky — labels rotate by vintage without much fanfare. For a restaurant with 'wine' literally in its domain name, the list is solid but stops well short of distinctive.
Somewhere between 12 and 20 options by the glass, which is a respectable spread for Fort Wayne. You've got the expected Italian Pinot Grigio, a domestic Pinot Noir, a house Sauvignon Blanc, and a rotating cast of California Cabernets covering the steakhouse bases. Prices run $9–$16 a glass, which is fair for the format — and on Tuesdays, the math gets a lot friendlier.
House Sauvignon Blanc — $9/glass
On a Tuesday, this is half-price — making it the easiest call in Fort Wayne. Even at full price, $9 for a proper pour in a white-tablecloth room is doing its job without complaint.
Italian Pinot Grigio
It reads as filler on a steakhouse list, but order it before your crab cakes and you'll remember why this grape exists. Most people skip straight to the Cabernet — don't.
Assorted California Cabernet Sauvignon
The labels rotate without transparency, which means you're often paying $60–$80 for something you can't fully vet. When you're spending real money on a bottle, you deserve to know exactly what's in front of you.
Domestic Pinot Noir + Crab Cakes
A lighter domestic Pinot has just enough red fruit and restraint to complement the sweetness of crab without bulldozing it — a smarter move than defaulting to Chardonnay, and a lot more interesting.
Tuesday — 50% off all bottles and glasses of house wine every Tuesday. One of the better standing wine deals in Fort Wayne — worth building a dinner around.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Chop's is a reliable steakhouse wine list doing exactly what it needs to do for its room — fair prices, decent range, and a Tuesday promotion that's genuinely worth planning around. If you're looking for deep cuts and passionate pours, keep searching; if you want a solid bottle with a good steak in Fort Wayne, this does the job.

Antonuccio's isn't a restaurant wine program — it's something more interesting: a genuine Italian market where you can eat well and leave with better bottles than most Fort Wayne restaurants will ever pour you. Come for lunch, leave with a Chianti, zero regrets.

Eddie Merlot's Fort Wayne is a reliably well-run steakhouse wine program — proper storage, real glassware, a sommelier on the floor, and enough pours by the glass to satisfy a full table. The list won't challenge you, and the markups will sting, but if you want a classic California Cab with your prime beef and you want it done right, this place delivers.

BRU Burger Bar is genuinely great at what it does — burgers, fries, a cold beer. The wine list exists as an afterthought for guests who don't drink beer, and it should be treated accordingly. Order a craft draft, save the wine for somewhere that cares.

Nawa is a fine place to eat; the wine list won't embarrass anyone, but it won't excite them either. Grab the Amarone or the Broquel Malbec, ignore the celebrity bottles, and let the food do the heavy lifting.

Henry's is a bar that happens to take its wine list seriously enough to matter, and the Wednesday half-price deal is the kind of thing you should have already texted your friends about. Don't overthink it — show up, order the Belleruche, and feel good about your Wednesday.

Vinland Reserve is the rare Indiana winery that earns a second look — barrel-aged hybrids, honest Bordeaux imports, and some of the most approachable pricing in the region. Wine Wednesday alone makes this worth adding to the rotation.

The Keg Las Colinas is a reliable wine stop for steak night — it won't dazzle you, and the markups will sting if you're paying attention, but the heavy hitters are real and the list does its job. Send your friend here for a Cab and a ribeye, not a wine revelation.

Outback Laredo's wine program is a national chain doing national chain things — predictable, overpriced relative to quality, and staffed by people who aren't expected to know anything about what they're pouring. Come for the Bloomin' Onion, stick to a cocktail, and save the wine order for somewhere that cares.
