The wine list at Broadway Beer & Wine Bar is exactly 18 labels long — and every single one of them is from Edgefield Winery out of Oregon. That's not a curated focus, that's a distribution deal masquerading as a wine program. When your entire list reads like a winery's tasting room menu, we have a problem.
Edgefield is a perfectly decent McMenamins winery making approachable, unpretentious wines — the Black Rabbit Red and White Rabbit are crowd-pleasers that belong at a casual cookout. But serving nothing else in a beer and wine bar means zero regional diversity, zero producer contrast, and no room for anyone who wants to drink something from, say, anywhere else on Earth. The list is organized into 'Wine To Go' tiers (smaller format, $23 bottles) and standard bottles up to $50 — same wines, different sizes, different prices. It's essentially the same eight or nine labels repeated twice across the list.
Seven by-the-glass options running $11–$12 a pour, which is fair enough for what you're getting. The problem is that all seven pours are from Edgefield, so your decision is less 'what do I want to drink tonight' and more 'which Edgefield do I dislike least.' Rotation appears nonexistent.
Edgefield Black Rabbit Red — $23
At $23 a bottle in the 'To Go' tier, this is an easy-drinking red blend that doesn't ask much of you and doesn't charge much either. If you're going to drink Edgefield, this is the move — accessible, unpretentious, and priced accordingly.
Edgefield Cuvée De L'Abri Rouge
Buried in the middle of an otherwise monotonous list, the Cuvée De L'Abri Rouge is the most interesting thing Edgefield makes — a French-inspired red blend that shows more ambition than their standard lineup. Most people ordering here won't notice it exists, which makes it the obvious pick if you want the best Edgefield has to offer.
Edgefield Cabernet Sauvignon
At $50 a bottle, this is the most expensive wine on the list — and it's a mass-market Oregon Cab from a winery that specializes in approachable everyday wines. You're paying a premium for the label on a wine that retails for a fraction of that. Hard pass.
Edgefield Pinot Gris + Bar snacks or charcuterie
We don't have menu specifics for Broadway, but if you're doing the bar snack and charcuterie route — which is standard territory for a wine bar — the Pinot Gris is your cleanest option. It's light, slightly crisp, and won't fight with anything salty or cured.
The Bottom Line
Broadway Beer & Wine Bar earns a Lazy List badge not because the wines are bad, but because the list represents zero effort beyond calling an Edgefield distributor. If you're here for beer, you're probably fine — but if you came for wine variety, keep walking.

If you're in Tucson and want a glass of something interesting without the pretense, this is the move.

Maynards Kitchen is a charming spot inside a genuinely iconic Tucson hotel, which makes the wine list feel like an especially lazy afterthought. Skip the wine, order a cocktail, and hope whoever curates this program eventually decides to care.
