Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Bonefish Grill Ocala reads like it was assembled by someone who Googled 'popular American wines' and called it a day. That's not a total knock — the names are recognizable, the prices are reasonable, and nothing is embarrassing. It's a chain doing chain things, but doing them competently.
You're looking at a 30-50 bottle list anchored in California and Washington, with a nod to Italian whites for the Pinot Grigio crowd. Columbia Crest and William Hill represent the Pacific Northwest and California respectively — workhorses, not showhorses. There's no old-world depth, no natural wine experimentation, and nothing that'll make you text a friend at midnight. What you do get is a list that won't embarrass you in front of a date, which at a strip mall seafood chain in Ocala is honestly not nothing.
Twelve by-the-glass options gives you room to move, and the $9–$13 price range keeps things accessible. The glass program mirrors the bottle list — familiar, food-friendly, and built for pairing with wood-grilled fish rather than impressing anyone. Rotation appears minimal; this is a set-and-forget situation, not a dynamic program with weekly changes.
Silver Gate Pinot Noir — $28
Lowest-priced bottle on the list and probably the most honest pour here. Pinot at this price point isn't going to blow your mind, but it's a food-friendly option that won't wreck your bill.
Columbia Crest Merlot
Merlot has been unfairly maligned since Sideways and most people reflexively skip it. Columbia Crest's Washington State Merlot is a legitimate, well-made wine — dark fruit, soft tannins, and actually a great match for the wood-grilled proteins on the menu.
Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio
At $31 a bottle, you're paying restaurant markup on a wine that retails for under $12 at your local grocery store. It's harmless but it's a 3x markup on something deeply ordinary. Order the glass if you must, skip the bottle.
William Hill Chardonnay + Butter Fish Florentine
A California Chardonnay with some oak and body is exactly what you want against the richness of a buttered fish dish with spinach. The wine's weight matches the plate without fighting it.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Bonefish Grill Ocala isn't a destination for wine — but it's a dependable pit stop. Fair prices, drinkable options, and a list that does its job without making you regret ordering a bottle.
SR 200 / Southwest Ocala · Ocala · Thai
Royal Orchid makes solid Thai food, and you should absolutely go — just order a Thai iced tea or a beer and pretend the wine list doesn't exist. If someone at your table insists on wine, point them to the Riesling and move on.

Carrabba's Ocala isn't a wine destination and doesn't pretend to be — but Wine Wednesday (call ahead to confirm it's still running at this location) can turn a steep markup into a reasonable deal. Come for the Chicken Bryan, drink the Riesling, skip the Caymus.

The Keep is doing something genuinely different for downtown Ocala — a rotating mead program, thoughtful wine picks, and markups that actually respect the customer. If you're in the area and care about what's in your glass, this is the move.

South Ocala · Ocala · American Steakhouse
Texas Roadhouse is a great place to eat a steak and throw peanut shells on the floor — we respect the chaos. But the wine list is purely functional at best and an afterthought at worst, so come here for the food and the fun, not the Cabernet.

World Equestrian Center · Ocala · Seafood
Juno & The Peacock shouldn't be this interesting, and that's the whole point — a seafood restaurant inside an Ocala equestrian complex with Chacra Patagonian Chardonnay and Eyrie Pinot Blanc is a genuine surprise. Markups lean steep and the format feels set-it-and-forget-it, but the underlying list has real taste behind it.

The Polo Pony is a reliable pour for the horse show crowd — familiar bottles, fair enough execution, and enough range to keep a table happy. We wouldn't drive to Ocala for the wine list, but if you're already at the World Equestrian Center, you'll drink just fine.

The Sole Proprietor is a reliable, crowd-pleasing list that does exactly what a classic seafood institution should — it just won't thrill anyone looking for adventure or a fair deal on the big names. Order the oysters, pick the DuMol, and leave the Opus One for someone else's expense account.

Red Lobster Riverside isn't a wine destination — it's a seafood chain with a wine list that exists because it has to. If you're here, drink the Riesling or the Prosecco, enjoy your biscuits, and keep your expectations calibrated accordingly.

Market Broiler Riverside is a dependable night out for seafood — the wine list won't excite anyone who's been paying attention, but it won't embarrass you either. Send a friend here for dinner without hesitation; just don't tell them to geek out on the wine program.
