Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Bare Bones Steakhouse is exactly five bottles long — and every single one of them is a name you've seen at a TGI Fridays or a corporate holiday party. There's no mystery here, no discovery, no personality. Just a short row of recognizable labels doing exactly what a steakhouse with minimal wine ambition asks of them.
Five wines, all red, all American, all safe. Caymus Napa Cab anchors the list as the obvious headliner — reliable, crowd-pleasing, and almost certainly marked up well past its already-premium retail price. Belle Glos Pinot Noir rounds out the prestige corner, while Red Schooner by Caymus Voyage 5 offers the lone nod to something a little outside the Napa comfort zone — it's a blended red sourced from South America but finished in California, which at least gives it a talking point. The presence of a Louis M. Martini-adjacent oak-forward red and a Duckhorn-or-Franciscan-type bottle fills the middle tiers without adding any real intrigue. White wine drinkers, sparkling fans, and anyone who's moved on from Cab-heavy lists are largely out of luck.
By-the-glass options aren't confirmed from available data, so we can't tell you what's actually pouring or at what price. Given the five-bottle list, the pour selection — if there is one — is almost certainly limited to one or two options. Don't plan your night around the glass program here.
The Bottom Line
Bare Bones Steakhouse has a wine list that feels like an afterthought — five crowd-pleasing reds, no whites, no by-the-glass transparency, and no sign that anyone is paying close attention to what's in the cellar or how it's priced. If you're here for the steak, you'll get through dinner just fine with a Cab from this list. But if wine is part of why you're going out, there are better places to spend that money in the greater Buford area.

The Ridge is a solid night out if you're in Forsyth County and want a steak with a side of live music and forest air — the wine program just isn't the reason to come. Until the list is published and verifiable, order something bold and red, enjoy your filet, and let the scenery do the heavy lifting.

Graysons puts together a wine list that would hold its own in Atlanta, let alone Newnan. The by-the-glass depth is the real headline — 36 options with fair pricing means you can explore without committing to a bottle or breaking the bank. If you're in Coweta County and want a proper glass of wine with your steak, this is your spot.

Marc Bar & Restaurant is essentially the estate dining room of Chateau Elan winery, and the wine list makes no attempt to be anything else — every pour is an in-house production. If you're already on property and curious about Georgia wine, the pricing is fair and the by-the-glass availability across the full list is genuinely guest-friendly. But if you're traveling specifically for a serious wine experience alongside your steak, this list will leave you wanting.
