The wine list at Anthony's reads exactly like the room feels — comfortable, unfussy, and not trying to impress anybody. It's a supper-club steakhouse on Highway 50, and the list knows its audience. What's quietly interesting is how hard it leans into Washington State, which gives the whole thing a bit more backbone than you'd expect from a place where the star of the show is a ribeye.
Nearly everything on the list traces back to the Pacific Northwest, which is either a curatorial choice or a distributor relationship — hard to say — but it works better than a random grab-bag would. You've got Hedges Family Estate CMS Sauvignon Blanc and Latah Creek Pinot Gris holding down the whites, while the reds lean on familiar Washington names like Boomtown by Dusted Valley and Red Diamond. The house pours under the 'Anthony's by Buried Cane' label (Chardonnay and Cabernet) fill the workhorse slots. There's no depth here — no old-world anchors, no Pinot Noir to speak of, no real range beyond the Northwest — but within that lane, the producers are decent.
Ten by-the-glass options at $7.50–$9.50 a pour is genuinely reasonable for a sit-down steakhouse in a Wisconsin resort town. The range covers the bases — a bubbly rosé (Sparkman Cellars 'This Old Porch'), a white or two, and several reds — without overwhelming anyone. Don't expect the list to rotate; this feels like a static program that hasn't changed much in a while.
Boomtown by Dusted Valley Syrah — $9.50
Dusted Valley is a legitimate Walla Walla producer, and Boomtown is their well-made entry-level label. Getting a glass of Washington Syrah from a real winery at under $10 at a steakhouse is a small win — order it with beef and don't overthink it.
Latah Creek Pinot Gris
Nobody at a steakhouse is reaching for Pinot Gris, but Latah Creek is a solid, underrated Idaho-border Washington producer and this is a genuinely nice white to start dinner with — especially if you're doing shrimp cocktail or anything from the seafood side of the menu.
Red Diamond Merlot
Red Diamond is grocery store wine. It exists on lists like this because it's cheap to pour and easy to sell, but there's no reason to order it when Boomtown Syrah is sitting right next to it at the same price point.
Hedges Family Estate 'CMS' Sauvignon Blanc + Shrimp or seafood appetizer
Hedges CMS Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and herbal — a solid contrast to anything rich or buttery coming out of the kitchen. If Anthony's is doing a shrimp dish or any lighter seafood preparation, this is the move before you commit to a steak and a red.
The Bottom Line
Anthony's isn't a wine destination, and it doesn't pretend to be — but for a Wisconsin supper club on a Friday night, the list is honest, the prices are fair, and the Washington State focus gives it just enough personality to keep things interesting. Send your parents here and order the Syrah.

The Abbey Resort is a beautiful property, and the Yacht Club dining room presumably delivers on atmosphere and food. The wine list, however, is a nine-bottle shrug — steep markups on familiar labels with no depth, no rotation, and no apparent curation. Order a cocktail or a beer and save the wine conversation for somewhere that's having it.

Apple Barn Orchard & Winery isn't trying to compete with your favorite natural wine bar, and it doesn't need to. It's a tight, honest, hyper-local fruit wine program priced like it wants you to actually buy a bottle — or three. If you're in Lake Geneva and open-minded about what wine can be, it's worth the stop.

The Boathouse at Pier 290 has a wine list that does the job without doing much else — familiar producers, California-heavy, built for the path of least resistance. If you're coming for the setting and want something easy and recognizable to drink, you'll be fine. If wine is the point of your evening, you'll want to look elsewhere.

Turf. Kitchen + Tap looks like a solid resort wine program — broad enough geographically to suggest some genuine effort, casual enough in setting that nobody's going to quiz you on your order. We'd feel comfortable sending a friend here for a relaxed dinner with a decent glass of wine, but we'd stop short of calling it a destination for the list itself. Come for the views and the Choriqueso; the wine will take care of itself.

Crafted Americana's wine program is resort-standard in the fullest sense: recognizable, priced for convenience, and unlikely to generate any complaints or any real excitement. If you're at The Ridge for the weekend and want a solid glass of Cab with your prime rib, you'll be fine — just don't come expecting a discovery.
