Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Zafron is lean and approachable — 24 labels, every single one available by the glass, which is either generous or a logistical nightmare depending on how busy the night gets. It reads like a list built for the broadest possible audience: safe producers, familiar names, nothing that will confuse a casual diner. That's not an insult — it's just the truth.
The list covers the expected bases: sparkling, white, rosé, and red, with a few recognizable names scattered throughout. There's a Domaine Eric Louis Sancerre at the high end ($85/bottle) and Torresella Prosecco anchoring the entry point at $32 — so the range is real, even if the middle is populated largely by reliable grocery-tier producers like Frei Brothers, Alamos, and Rainstorm. A Marques de Caceres Tempranillo and an Allegrini Palazzo Red Blend offer some Old World credibility, but don't expect to dig for obscure finds here. The list skews heavily American and leans on recognizable brand equity over regional depth.
Every bottle on the list is also available by the glass, which gives Zafron a genuine by-the-glass program rather than the usual four-option afterthought. Prices run $10–$23 per glass, which is competitive for Sandy Springs. The Orin Swift Mannequin Chardonnay at $19/glass and the Eric Louis Sancerre at $23/glass are the outliers worth noting.
The Bottom Line
Zafron isn't trying to be a wine destination, and that's fine — the list exists to support the food, not steal the spotlight. Markups are fair, every bottle pours by the glass, and there are a few genuinely solid picks if you know where to look. Send a friend here for the Persian food and tell them to order the Allegrini.

· Sandy Springs · New American/Southern
Southern Bistro isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes no bones about that — but the pricing is honest, the by-the-glass flexibility is real, and there are a couple of genuinely good picks buried in a list that mostly sticks to the familiar. If you're in Sandy Springs and want a glass of something decent without a fight, this works. Just don't come expecting discovery.

· Sandy Springs · Italian
Pendolino is doing something genuinely interesting with a very short Italian wine list — prioritizing producers and regions that actually reward curiosity over safe crowd-pleasers. We don't have pricing or glass program details to fully vet the value story, but the selection alone earns our attention. If you're eating Italian in Sandy Springs and you want more than the usual suspects, this list is worth your time.

Brooklyn Cafe's wine list is doing more than it has to for a Sandy Springs neighborhood restaurant — the white selections alone, from Rudi Pichler to Merry Edwards, show real editorial intent. Pricing transparency is a question mark without confirmed figures, and the glass program is a mystery we couldn't resolve. Worth a visit if you're eating in the area; just go in ready to ask questions.

Roasters is here for the chicken, not the wine, and the list makes that abundantly clear. At fair price points for what's on offer, you won't feel robbed — but you also won't feel inspired. Order a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, eat the bird, and call it a night.

If you're at Battle & Brew, you're here to play games and drink something cold — and that's completely fine. The wine list exists to check a box, not to excite anyone. At $8/glass for anonymous house pours, the price is inoffensive, but there's nothing here to seek out. Order the Demon Slayer Sake, grab a controller, and don't lose any sleep over the wine program.

Inman Park · Sandy Springs · Spanish Wine Bar
Barcelona Inman Park runs a genuinely ambitious by-the-glass program — fair prices, Iberian depth, and enough global detours to keep things interesting. We'd send a friend here specifically to work through the whites and bubbles with a spread of small plates, and the Bico Amarelo at $9 a glass makes that an easy ask.

Naar is a reliable neighborhood option for wine — fair prices, almost everything available by the glass, and a list that doesn't try too hard in either direction. If you're in Holly Springs and want a decent Bordeaux or an interesting White Malbec with your shawarma, you'll be fine here. Don't expect discovery, but don't expect disappointment either.

Crave isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes that clear. But with fair glass prices, full by-the-glass availability, and a couple of genuinely solid picks like the Calera Pinot Noir, it does its job without embarrassing anyone. If you're here for the food and want a reasonable glass to go with it, you'll be fine — just don't show up expecting regional wines to match the cuisine.

Fusion Restaurant & Bar isn't trying to be a wine destination — it's trying to make sure you have a decent glass with your dinner, and at these prices it largely succeeds. The markup is fair, the by-the-glass selection is genuinely wide, and the Chehalem Chardonnay alone earns some goodwill. Send a friend here knowing they'll drink fine, not great.
