Walking into Willi's, the vibe does most of the heavy lifting — buzzy patio, oysters on ice, wine country energy cranked up to eleven. The wine list reads exactly like you'd expect from a beloved Healdsburg seafood spot: California-centric, white-heavy, and built to move bottles at a tourist-friendly pace. It's a comfortable list, not an adventurous one.
The list leans hard into Sonoma County — Flowers Chardonnay, Dehlinger Russian River Chardonnay, Benovia Pinot Noir — which makes geographic sense but leaves you wishing they'd pushed a little further. There's no real nod to Muscadet, Chablis, Grüner Veltliner, or any of the classic Old World seafood companions that could make this list genuinely exciting alongside an oyster tower. The sparkling selection is a bright spot: Roederer Estate Brut Rosé and Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs are smart, food-friendly picks that belong on a raw bar list. A. Rafanelli Zinfandel and Silver Oak Cab feel like they wandered in from a steakhouse menu — fine producers, wrong room.
The by-the-glass program runs 12-18 options and skews appropriately toward whites, rosés, and sparkling — exactly what you want when you're working through a dozen Kumamotos. Pours run $11–$17, which is reasonable for Healdsburg, though the specific BTG lineup leans on familiar Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and Russian River Sauvignon Blanc without much to surprise you. Rotation appears minimal; this list feels more set-it-and-forget-it than dynamically managed.
Roederer Estate Brut Rosé Anderson Valley N.V. — $80
Roederer Estate consistently punches above its weight — it's one of California's best sparkling programs and it's made for raw bar exactly like this one. At $80 a bottle it's not cheap, but it's the most honest price on the list and the best match for a round of oysters.
Dehlinger Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2022
Dehlinger is one of those producers that serious wine people know and tourists walk right past. This is a restrained, site-driven Chardonnay from one of Russian River's most consistent estates — not the fruit-bomb Chardonnay the table next to you ordered, but something with actual tension and length.
Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2019
At $230 a bottle, Silver Oak is doing no one any favors here. It's a name-recognition play on a seafood menu, marked up aggressively on a wine that has no business competing with Dungeness crab cakes. Order the bubbles, put the Cab down.
Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs North Coast 2022 + Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell
Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs is all citrus crunch and fine bubbles — it cuts through the brine of a cold oyster and then gets out of the way. This is the pairing the list was quietly built around, and it delivers.

Willi's is a genuinely fun place to drink wine — the setting earns it, and the sparkling selections are smartly chosen for raw bar eating. But the markups are real, the list plays it safe, and there's a better, more adventurous version of this wine program waiting to happen.

Hazel Hill is legitimately one of the better resort wine programs in California wine country — deep list, proper staff, and a setting that earns the splurge. The markups are real and the vibe is unabashedly luxe, but if you're already in Healdsburg, this is worth the stop.
