Wingman Metrics
The wine list at WildFin Tacoma reads like a greatest-hits tour of the Pacific Northwest, and honestly, that's not a bad thing when you're sitting down to seafood. Sixty labels isn't a deep cellar, but it's enough to not feel boxed in. The regional focus is confident and consistent — this list knows what it is.
Washington and Oregon dominate, which makes sense given the address. Chardonnay gets the most real estate — you've got everything from the crowd-pleasing A to Z Wineworks ($41.95) to the serious Chateau Ste. Michelle Cold Creek ($50.95) and a Mark Ryan ($67.95) for those willing to spend up. Sauvignon Blanc gets solid representation with five options including Matthews Cellars and the reliably well-priced Waterbrook ($33.95). Pinot Gris rounds out the whites nicely with Chehalem and Willamette Valley Vineyards showing up for the Oregon contingent. The list is white-heavy, which makes complete sense for a seafood-focused kitchen, though red and sparkling drinkers will find the options a bit thinner.
Twenty-two by-the-glass options at $11.50–$15.50 is a genuinely strong pour program for a casual grill concept — that's nearly a third of the list available by the glass. Rotation or guest program details aren't clear, but the range suggests you can explore the Northwest by glass without committing to a bottle. That's exactly what you want when half the table is ordering different proteins.
Waterbrook Sauvignon Blanc — $33.95
Waterbrook punches above its price point consistently, and at the lowest bottle price on the list, it's the move for a table that wants something crisp and crowd-friendly without overthinking it.
Lange Estate Lange Willamette Chardonnay
Lange is a serious Willamette Valley producer that most diners will walk right past on their way to Rombauer. Their Chardonnay is more restrained and terroir-driven — at $51.95, it's the pick for anyone who wants less oak and more wine.
Rombauer Vineyards Rombauer Chardonnay
Rombauer is fine — it's just $72.95 of butter and vanilla that you can find at retail for half that. Save the money for a second round of oysters.
Chehalem Pinot Gris + Pan-Seared Salmon
Chehalem's Pinot Gris has enough body to stand up to salmon without overwhelming it, and its bright acidity cuts through any richness in the preparation. Oregon wine with Pacific salmon is just the right call at a place like this.
The Bottom Line
WildFin Tacoma isn't trying to reinvent the wine list — it's trying to give you something good to drink while you eat good fish, and it succeeds. If you stick to the Pacific Northwest picks and lean on the by-the-glass program, you'll leave happy.

The Lobster Shop's wine list is doing more than it has to, and doing it at prices that won't make you wince. If you're eating seafood in Tacoma, this is a better glass situation than you'd find at most spots with ten times the ambition.

· Tacoma · Northwest seafood & steak
Copper & Salt isn't trying to be a wine destination, but it's working harder than most Northwest kitchen-and-bar concepts to give you something worth drinking. The regional focus is genuine, the by-the-glass selection is unusually generous, and the pricing won't make you wince — send a friend here with confidence.

Gig Harbor Wine Co. is a one-brand wine bar that somehow doesn't feel like a vanity project — the range is thoughtful, the prices are honest, and the whole setup rewards locals who want to drink well without the markup theater. If you're open to going all-in on a single producer for a night, this is a genuinely fun place to do it.
