The Wine Program

Whiskey & Water won Best of Georgia 2024 and was nominated again in 2025, housed in a beautifully renovated 1937 Post Office on Depot Street. Owners Kelli and Anthony Battaglia, with Executive Chef Marty Ebberly and mixologist Rae Smith, built a wine list that pairs seamlessly with their seafood-forward menu. Miso black cod, fish tacos, cioppino, lobster rolls: this is coastal cuisine that demands the right pour. The wine selection covers whites and lighter reds that match the kitchen's direction. The bourbon and whiskey collection is the other headline act.

The Setting

The renovated Post Office space is one of the most stylish dining rooms in Blue Ridge. The cocktail program and bourbon selection are what most people talk about, but the wine list quietly holds its own alongside the seafood. Open most days except Wednesday.

Why Reliable

The wine program supports excellent seafood without trying to steal the show. Fair pricing, solid range, and knowledgeable staff who understand pairing with coastal fare. The bourbon collection gets the press, but the wine does its job.

✔️ The Bottom Line

Whiskey & Water pairs Best of Georgia-winning seafood with a wine list built for fish, served in a gorgeous 1937 Post Office. The bourbon gets the glory, but the wine holds its own.
