Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Wasabi Douglasville is exactly what you'd expect from a suburban Asian restaurant that added wine because it had to — not because anyone here is passionate about it. Seventeen labels, two tiers (house pours and a small step up to Kendall Jackson and Decoy), and nothing that will surprise you. It's functional, it's priced accessibly, and it asks very little of you.
The list is essentially two grocery-store brands plus whatever the distributor dropped off for the house pours. Kendall Jackson and Decoy anchor the upper tier — solid, inoffensive California producers that most people recognize from the supermarket shelf. The variety is narrow: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, White Zinfandel, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. No sparkling, no rosé beyond the White Zin, no adventure whatsoever. The inclusion of a House Plum Wine is a nod to the cuisine, and honestly it's one of the more contextually appropriate pours on the menu.
Fifteen of the seventeen labels are available by the glass, which is generous — but when the list is this short, that's less impressive than it sounds. House pours clock in at $3.95 a glass, which is barely above beer-and-a-shot territory, and the KJ and Decoy options top out at $9.95. If you're here to drink wine rather than sip something alongside your sushi roll, the by-the-glass program won't hold your attention for long.
The Bottom Line
Wasabi Douglasville isn't a wine destination, and it isn't trying to be. The prices are low enough that a mediocre glass won't sting, and the Decoy options give you a small quality ceiling to bump up against. If wine matters to you at dinner, this list will do in a pinch — but you're really here for the food, and that's fine.

Taki's wine program is an afterthought dressed up as a list — 17 labels deep in crowd-pleasing brands with no real ambition and steep glass prices for what you're getting. If you're here for the hibachi show, enjoy it. Just stick to beer, sake, or cocktails and don't overthink the wine.

ARI is a genuinely fun wine wildcard — a Korean BBQ spot that takes its beverage program seriously enough to include both Twomey and Omija berry wine on the same list. The markups get steep in spots, but the by-the-glass selection is wide and the Korean wines are worth exploring. If you're going for the BBQ, start with the Bokbunja or grab a bottle of The Show Malbec and let the grill do the rest.

UMI is a hibachi spot first, and the wine list makes that priority extremely clear — it's an afterthought dressed up with two columns and a laminator. The pricing is fair by the numbers, but fair prices on uninspiring wine only gets you so far. If you're here for the showmanship at the grill, order a Kikkoman Plum Wine and lean into it; if you care about what's in your glass, stick to whatever they're pouring on draft or start with cocktails.
