You're not walking into Vejigante expecting a deep cellar — you're walking in for mofongo and a good time. The wine list reflects exactly that: short, approachable, and built for people who want a glass with dinner, not a tasting flight. What surprises you is that it doesn't embarrass itself.
The list runs about 22-26 wines and leans hard on California and Chile, with cameos from Washington State, Spain, Argentina, and a single local nod — Nantucket Vineyards Pinot Grigio from Massachusetts, which is a fun touch for a Worcester restaurant. You're not going to find anything obscure or producer-driven here; this is a greatest-hits lineup of approachable brands. There are no real dogs on the list, but there's also no ambition — Sebastiani Chardonnay and Walnut Crest Pinot Grigio are solid grocery-store wines doing exactly what they're supposed to do. The sparkling section with Sofia Coppola Blanc de Blancs and Moët Nectar Impérial is clearly aimed at celebration tables, which makes sense for a lively downtown spot.
Roughly 8-10 pours available by the glass, priced between $8 and $12, which is honest money in the Worcester market. The Grace Lane Riesling from Washington State at $10 a glass is the most interesting option on the pour list — everything else skews toward safe whites and crowd-friendly reds. Don't expect a rotating selection; this list looks like it was set and forgotten.
Grace Lane Riesling, Washington State — $10/glass, $33/bottle
At $10 a glass, this is the most food-friendly wine on the list for a Puerto Rican menu — off-dry Riesling cuts through the richness of mofongo and plays well with plantain sweetness. It's also the most interesting thing on the pour list by a mile.
Las Brisas White Blend, Spain
Most people are going to reach for the Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio out of habit, but the Las Brisas white blend from Spain is the sleeper pick here — Spanish whites tend to bring more texture and a savory edge that actually works with the bold, seasoned flavors of Puerto Rican cooking.
Moët Nectar Impérial
At $100 a bottle, you're paying full retail — maybe more — for a sweet Champagne that's basically a nightclub bottle. It's fine for toasting but there's no value story here whatsoever. If you want bubbles, the Sofia Coppola Blanc de Blancs is a much more sensible call.
Grace Lane Riesling, Washington State + Mofongo
Mofongo — garlicky, rich, and loaded with either pork or seafood — needs acidity and a little residual sweetness to keep things lively. Washington Riesling does exactly that: it doesn't fight the dish, it lifts it.
🎲 The Bottom Line
Vejigante isn't a wine destination, but it's not trying to be — and for a vibrant Puerto Rican restaurant in downtown Worcester, the list is more thoughtful than you'd expect. Grab the Riesling, enjoy the mofongo, and don't overthink it.

Willy's delivers a competent, crowd-friendly wine list that matches its supper-club DNA — no one's going home disappointed, but no one's going home inspired either. If you're in Worcester and want a solid glass with a prime steak, it does the job; just don't come here for the wine list.

The Fix earns its reputation on the burger side of the menu — the wine list is just not part of that story. Come for the food, order the beer, and save the bottle for another night.

111 Chop House Bar is doing exactly what it set out to do — give Worcester a place to order trophy Napa bottles alongside a prime cut. The markups sting and the list won't surprise anyone, but if you know what you're looking for, you'll find it.

The wine list at Uno Worcester exists to check a box, not to add anything to your meal. Come for the deep-dish, order a beer, and if you must have wine, show up on Wine Down Wednesday and at least get it at half price.

Dino's isn't a wine destination — it's a red-sauce neighborhood classic that happens to have an unexpectedly serious Port program tucked at the back of the menu. Come for the Chicken Parm, stay for the Taylor Fladgate.

Alma Gaucha isn't a wine destination, but it doesn't pretend to be one — and that honesty is worth something. If you stick to the Zuccardi and the Don Melchor, you'll drink well enough to match the meat, and that's the whole point.
