Solid pours in a surprisingly serene mountain hideout

Wingman Metrics
The list at Twisted Fern reads like it was curated to make everyone comfortable and no one particularly excited. It's competent, approachable, and built squarely for the Park City crowd who wants something recognizable with their Shrimp Etouffee. Nothing here is going to surprise you, but nothing is going to embarrass you either.
The 80-120 bottle list leans hard on California, New Zealand, and Oregon — safe bets all around. You'll find the usual suspects: Rombauer Chardonnay holding down the butter-bomb California white corner, Kim Crawford doing the crowd-pleasing Sauvignon Blanc thing, and Meiomi Pinot Noir covering anyone who wants something red and approachable. There's no real depth into old-world producers or anything that hints at a buyer with a point of view. The list does its job, but it doesn't have a personality.
Fifteen to twenty pours by the glass is a respectable number for a mountain-town New American spot, and the rotation covers the basics well enough. Don't expect anything adventurous — you're working through the same California and New Zealand hits in glass form. The upside is that if you're with a group of mixed preferences, everyone will find something recognizable.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc — null
It's not a hidden discovery, but Kim Crawford consistently delivers clean, citrus-forward Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at a price point that doesn't get gouged as aggressively as the bigger-name bottles on this list. If you're splitting a bottle over the Baked Brie, this is your move.
Oregon Pinot Noir
The Oregon section — while not deep — tends to get overlooked when Meiomi is sitting right there with its familiar label. If the list carries any Willamette Valley Pinot, that's where you'll find more complexity and terroir expression than anything from the California side of the card.
Rombauer Chardonnay
Rombauer is fine wine, but it's also one of the most marked-up Chardonnays in the country at restaurants. You're paying a serious premium for a bottle you can find at any grocery store, and the oak-and-vanilla profile doesn't exactly challenge the kitchen's cooking. Skip it and put that money toward a second round.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc + Shrimp Etouffee
The bright acidity and citrus zip in the Kim Crawford cuts right through the richness of the Etouffee's butter-and-roux base, and the wine's herbal edge plays well against the Cajun spice. It's not a fancy pairing, but it works every time.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Twisted Fern is a reliable neighborhood anchor for Park City dining, and the wine list follows suit — safe, accessible, a little pricey for what you get. Send your friend here for the food and a comfortable glass of something familiar, not for a wine discovery.
Kimball Junction · Park City · New American with Asian and global influences
Hearth and Hill is a genuinely good neighborhood restaurant that treats its wine list as a supporting character rather than a draw — and for most of its guests, that's probably fine. If you're a wine-first diner, you'll find something drinkable here, but you won't find anything that makes you lean across the table and say 'you have to try this.'

Deer Valley (Snow Park base) · Park City · Café and Market
This is a café wine list, not a wine list café — and there's a real difference. If you're coming to Deer Valley Café for wine, recalibrate expectations; if you're already here for a sandwich and the Adelsheim Chardonnay happens to be on the menu, pour one and count it as a small win.

The Eating Establishment is a legitimate Park City institution — for breakfast. The wine list is a placeholder, not a program, and the markups are steep enough that you'd be better off with a Bloody Mary or a beer. Come for the comfort food, make peace with the wine.

The Brass Tag is exactly what it needs to be: a dependable après-ski wine stop where the list won't offend anyone and the Duckhorn will do the trick. Don't book a table here for the wine program, but don't let it stop you from enjoying a glass either.

Apex has the bones of a great wine program — proper storage, a knowledgeable team, serious producers — but the markups are so aggressive they undercut any goodwill the list earns. Drink well here if someone else is paying, or stick to a single glass and call it a night.

Pond House Cafe is a lovely spot where the wine list exists to support the experience, not define it — and that's fine, as long as you keep your expectations calibrated. Come for the setting, order the Campofiorin or the Santa Marina, and let the park do the rest of the work.

Ambra is a nice room with a lazy wine list — one that coasts on brand familiarity and banks on diners not noticing the markup. Order a cocktail, or bring a bottle if corkage is an option.
