The list runs 20-40 bottles deep and sticks entirely to The Saratoga Winery's own production, which keeps things focused and honest. Cold-hardy grape varieties like Marquette and Frontenac anchor the reds — these are New York originals, not consolation prizes, and they're genuinely interesting if you've never gone down that rabbit hole. Fruit wines like the Raspberry round out the portfolio and will either delight or divide you depending on your tolerance for sweet. There are no outside producers on the list, so if you came hoping for a Finger Lakes Riesling from another house, recalibrate your expectations.
The by-the-glass program runs 10-20 options and covers the full range of what they make — reds, whites, and fruit wines — which is generous for a single-producer operation. The char and smoke from the wood-fired oven need a wine with enough body and grip to keep up — Marquette's dark fruit and firm tannins do exactly that without overwhelming the toppings.
