Fine for beer, but skip the wine list

The wine list at The Mojo Grill is about as ambitious as ordering a salad at a BBQ joint — technically available, mostly an afterthought. Five by-the-glass options at prices that won't hurt your wallet, but nothing here is going to make you put down your beer.
What you get is a parade of reliable grocery-store staples: Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Riff Pinot Grigio, a generic rosé, and a couple of bubbles in the form of Mas Fi Cava and Prosecco. There's no discernible regional focus or curatorial intent — this list exists to check a box, not to excite. If you came hoping for even a token nod to interesting winemaking, look elsewhere. The bottle prices top out around $34, which at least keeps the damage minimal.
Five pours at $9–$10 a glass, which is reasonable for Ocala and the casual setting. Rotation appears nonexistent — this list looks like it hasn't changed since the menu was printed. Don't expect anything off the beaten path; what's listed is what you'll always get.
Mas Fi Cava — $9
Spanish Cava at a casual grill price point is genuinely fine value — it's crisp, food-friendly, and the most interesting thing on an otherwise flat list.
Mas Fi Cava
Most people at a grill like this are reaching for Bud Light or the Pinot Grigio by reflex. The Cava is the sleeper — it actually has some personality and works well with grilled food.
Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc
At $10 a glass you're paying restaurant markup on a bottle you can grab at any grocery store for $13. Nothing wrong with the wine; everything wrong with paying this much for it here.
Mas Fi Cava + Grilled chicken
Bubbles and char are a classic match — the Cava's acidity cuts through the smoky richness and keeps things lively across the whole plate.
❌ The Bottom Line
The Mojo Grill is a solid spot to eat, but the wine program is a clear afterthought — low effort, low variety, no real upside beyond inoffensive and cheap. Order a craft beer or a cocktail and save the wine for somewhere that cares.
SR 200 / Southwest Ocala · Ocala · Thai
Royal Orchid makes solid Thai food, and you should absolutely go — just order a Thai iced tea or a beer and pretend the wine list doesn't exist. If someone at your table insists on wine, point them to the Riesling and move on.

Carrabba's Ocala isn't a wine destination and doesn't pretend to be — but Wine Wednesday (call ahead to confirm it's still running at this location) can turn a steep markup into a reasonable deal. Come for the Chicken Bryan, drink the Riesling, skip the Caymus.

The Keep is doing something genuinely different for downtown Ocala — a rotating mead program, thoughtful wine picks, and markups that actually respect the customer. If you're in the area and care about what's in your glass, this is the move.

South Ocala · Ocala · American Steakhouse
Texas Roadhouse is a great place to eat a steak and throw peanut shells on the floor — we respect the chaos. But the wine list is purely functional at best and an afterthought at worst, so come here for the food and the fun, not the Cabernet.

World Equestrian Center · Ocala · Seafood
Juno & The Peacock shouldn't be this interesting, and that's the whole point — a seafood restaurant inside an Ocala equestrian complex with Chacra Patagonian Chardonnay and Eyrie Pinot Blanc is a genuine surprise. Markups lean steep and the format feels set-it-and-forget-it, but the underlying list has real taste behind it.

The Polo Pony is a reliable pour for the horse show crowd — familiar bottles, fair enough execution, and enough range to keep a table happy. We wouldn't drive to Ocala for the wine list, but if you're already at the World Equestrian Center, you'll drink just fine.
