The Lookout is Blue Ridge's only rooftop bar, perched atop the Hampton Inn with panoramic views of downtown and the mountains. Craft cocktails, elevated bar bites, wine and beer in a picturesque setting. The wine selection is limited: a handful of options that serve the rooftop bar format. The views are the product. Open daily 4 PM to 10-11 PM.
The Lookout doesn't need a deep wine list and it knows it. People come here for the sunset, the view, and a cocktail. The wine is there because a rooftop bar needs wine on the menu. The view does all the heavy lifting. Come for golden hour, not for the Pinot.
❌ The Bottom Line
The Lookout is a sunset cocktail spot with mountain views and a wine list that exists because it has to. The view is the Rager here.

The Perch is a rooftop bar that happens to have a decent wine list, not a wine destination that happens to have a rooftop. Come on a Wednesday, order something from the Stag's Leap or Far Niente end of the list, and enjoy the view — that's the move.

Keylor Grand is the wine list equivalent of the view itself — looks great from a distance, solid enough up close, but not something you'd cross town for on wine alone. Wednesday half-price bottles are the real reason to make a reservation.
