RagingWine reviewed The Boynton Restaurant & Spirits’s wine list and gave it The Lazy List — RagingWine’s Vibe-Check rating. How RagingWine reviews wine lists →
Wingman Metrics
The Boynton is a Worcester institution — burgers, pizza, sports on the TVs, and a beer list that clearly gets the love here. The wine list feels like an afterthought stapled to the back of a menu built around pints and pitchers. If you came for wine, you may have taken a wrong turn.
What we can piece together points to a list leaning on California, Washington, and New Zealand with a nod to Italy — the usual suspects for a casual American spot that needs to check the wine box without committing to it. Don't expect anything adventurous or small-producer; this is a list designed to sell to the widest possible crowd with the least possible friction. Gaps in regional depth and producer variety are almost certainly wide. The Middle Eastern-inflected dishes on the food menu are genuinely interesting and deserve better wine companions than what's likely on offer here.
By-the-glass specifics aren't publicly documented in enough detail to call out individual pours, but the program pattern here suggests a short, predictable roster of mass-market bottles. Rotation is probably nonexistent — what's on the menu in January is likely still on it in November.
The Bottom Line
The Boynton is a great neighborhood spot for a cold beer, a burger, and a game — and that's exactly what it should be. The wine program is along for the ride, not driving the car. If wine matters to you tonight, this isn't your destination; if you're here for the food and the vibe, order a beer and enjoy it.
· Worcester · American Grill
110 Grill Worcester is a dependable spot for a casual dinner or drinks with a group, and the food menu has some genuinely appealing options — the Chimichurri Steak and Cucumber & Avocado Tuna in particular look like they could use a decent pour alongside them. We just can't vouch for the wine list until we have better intel on what's actually in it. Come for the vibe; we'll update the wine call when the evidence catches up.

· Worcester · Italian / Mediterranean
Nuovo is a reliable date-night pick on Shrewsbury Street with an Italian-leaning wine list that won't embarrass itself, but won't surprise you either. Order something from the Veneto, enjoy the room, and don't overthink it.

The Duck isn't a wine destination, but it's doing more with its Italian regional focus than most taverns in Worcester County bother to attempt. Come for the half roasted duck and let the list surprise you — just don't show up expecting a deep cellar.

Willy's delivers a competent, crowd-friendly wine list that matches its supper-club DNA — no one's going home disappointed, but no one's going home inspired either. If you're in Worcester and want a solid glass with a prime steak, it does the job; just don't come here for the wine list.

Shrewsbury Street · Worcester · Gourmet Burger Bar and American
The Fix earns its reputation on the burger side of the menu — the wine list is just not part of that story. Come for the food, order the beer, and save the bottle for another night.

Shrewsbury Street · Worcester · Steakhouse Bar
111 Chop House Bar is doing exactly what it set out to do — give Worcester a place to order trophy Napa bottles alongside a prime cut. The markups sting and the list won't surprise anyone, but if you know what you're looking for, you'll find it.

Downtown Atlanta · Atlanta · American
Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta's wine list is a Lazy List by every measure — grocery store brands, steep markups, no specials, and a rotating staff with little incentive to know what's in the glass. If you're here for the memorabilia and the atmosphere, lean into a cocktail or a beer. If wine is non-negotiable, the Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling or Columbia Crest Cab will get you through the night without regret.

The real headline here is Friday: half-price bottles under $250, which is a legitimately good deal in any zip code. Add a sommelier in a neighborhood grill context and Tin Cup earns a look that most Cumming restaurants don't. We'd go in on a Friday, ask for a recommendation, and let the staff do their job — that's what they're there for.

Dave & Buster's Wichita is not a wine destination — and the list makes no attempt to pretend otherwise. Fourteen labels of grocery-store standbys, no pricing transparency, and a venue where the primary business is flashing screens and redemption tickets means the wine program is essentially decorative. Order the cocktail, feed the machine, save the bottle for literally anywhere else.
