Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Taco Mac Peachtree Hills is exactly what you'd expect from a sports bar chain that built its reputation on beer taps, not Burgundy. Ten labels, all household names, zero surprises — this is the wine section you scroll past on the way to the draft list.
The entire list reads like the wine aisle at a Kroger, and not the good Kroger. You've got Woodbridge, Kim Crawford, Kendall-Jackson, Josh Cellars, Ecco Domani, and Ménage à Trois covering the usual mass-market bases — Chardonnay, Cab, Pinot Grigio, Sauv Blanc, and a red blend for people who don't want to commit to a grape. Carmel Road Pinot Noir is the lone producer with any real claim to regionality, sourced from Monterey. There are no Old World options, no natural wines, no skin-contact anything — this list has never met a terroir it wanted to discuss.
Nine of the ten bottles are available by the glass, which sounds generous until you look at the prices. At $9.99 a glass for Kim Crawford or Kendall-Jackson — wines that retail for $12-$15 a bottle — you're paying chain-restaurant math on grocery-store wine. The Silver Gate Brut Sparkling at $6.99/glass is the one pour that doesn't require a small internal debate.
The Bottom Line
Taco Mac's wine list exists because legally it has to, not because anyone cared to build it. If you're here for the wings and the game, order a beer — that's what this place does well. The wine program is a Lazy List in every sense: overpriced for what's in the glass, staffed by a rotating crew unlikely to talk you through it, and assembled without a single interesting choice.

THREE isn't trying to be a wine destination, and the list makes that abundantly clear. If you're here for cocktails or the bar scene, you're probably in the right place — but if wine matters to you even a little, this four-item lineup isn't going to do much for you. Order the House Champagne at $5, accept the situation for what it is, and move on.

Atlanta · Atlanta · Better Burger
Yeah! Burger has no business having a wine list this considered, and that's exactly why it works. An all-organic, all-by-the-glass program priced between $5 and $9 at a fast-casual burger spot is the definition of a wild card. If you're in Atlanta and want a genuinely fun, low-stakes wine experience with zero pretension, this is it.

Atlanta · Atlanta · Vegan Soul Food
Bar Vegan isn't a wine destination — it's a vegan soul food bar with a short, functional list that serves the room. Some markups are hard to justify, and the list won't impress anyone who came in looking for something interesting. But the Black Girl Magic Red Blend and the J. Lohr bottle price show there's a little thought behind the selections. Come for the food and the vibe; the wine is just along for the ride.

Ponce City Market · Atlanta · Mexican
Minero isn't a wine destination — it's a taco and mezcal destination that happens to have a wine list worth a second look. The regional lineup suggests someone with actual taste curated this, which is more than you can say for most fast-casual Mexican spots. If you're here and not drinking mezcal, ask what's cold and crisp from Vinho Verde or Friuli country — your Fried Catfish Taco will thank you.

Monroe Drive · Atlanta · Neapolitan Pizza
Varuni Napoli's wine list is small but it's doing real work — Italian-leaning, fairly priced, and stocked with at least two bottles (the Aglianico and Falanghina) that prove somebody cared. It earns the Wild Card badge because finding a Brunello and an Aglianico at a neighborhood pizza spot is genuinely surprising. Come for the pizza, stay for a glass of something you wouldn't expect.

Clarks runs a leaner-than-average wine list for a steakhouse, but the curation punches above its size — the presence of the Normand Aligoté, the Juillot Pinot Noir, and the Pallières Grenache on the same list as Faust and Stag's Leap tells you the buyer has range. The full-list by-the-glass program at mostly fair markups makes this worth exploring beyond the obvious Cabernet order. If you're eating steak in Atlanta and want something more interesting than your usual Napa pour, this list rewards curiosity.

· Truckee · American / Bar
Bar of America is a reliable wine stop in a mountain town that could easily get away with serving mediocre wine at inflated prices — and to its credit, it mostly doesn't. The markup is fair, the Chardonnay selection is deeper than it needs to be, and the Scharffenberger at $52 is worth ordering. If you want adventure, look elsewhere; if you want a dependable glass after a day on the slopes, this works.

Backyard's wine list is competent the way a beige wall is competent — it's there, it won't offend anyone, and you won't remember it. If you're here for the patio vibes and cold drinks, stick to beer or cocktails and save the wine exploration for somewhere that's actually trying.

Old Yellowstone Garage is a perfectly decent spot to eat a pizza and drink a recognizable red, but the wine program is on autopilot and the markups are brutal enough to warrant ordering a beer instead. Send your friends here for the food, not the wine list.
