Wingman Metrics
The list lands with quiet confidence — 150 bottles isn't enormous, but it's curated with enough intention that you don't feel like you're staring at a wall of filler. France, Oregon, and Italy anchor the selection, which makes sense for a room full of oysters and Pacific salmon. It reads like someone actually thought about what people would be eating here.
Oregon gets its rightful spotlight with Lady Hill Willamette Valley showing up as a local anchor, while France chips in with some smart Crémant options that won't wreck your budget before the entrée arrives. Italy rounds things out with La Capranera Campania, a southern Italian white that plays nicely in a seafood context. The gaps show up in the depth — there's range across regions but not a lot of vertical options or small-producer deep cuts. Still, for a downtown seafood spot, this list is doing the work.
Twenty pours by the glass is genuinely generous, and the $9–$18 range keeps things accessible without feeling like a dive. The house white and rosé options give casual drinkers an easy landing spot, and the Crémant de Loire by the glass is a smart move on a menu built around oysters. We'd like to see a bit more rotation, but what's here gets the job done.
Louis de Grenelle Brut Crémant de Loire Saumur NV — $13
Crémant at this price point with Pacific oysters on the table is basically a cheat code. Loire bubbles bring the acidity, the brine does the rest, and you're not paying Champagne prices to get there.
La Capranera Campania IT 2021
Most people at a Portland seafood spot are reaching for Oregon whites or something French. This southern Italian Campania bottling gets overlooked, but it's built for seafood — saline, mineral, and a little wild in the best way.
Southpark House White
House wines exist for convenience, not excitement. You're in a room with 150 bottles and some genuinely interesting glass pours — don't default to the blank-label option when better value is sitting right next to it on the menu.
Louis de Grenelle Brut Crémant de Loire Saumur NV + Pacific Oysters
Chenin-based bubbles and raw oysters is one of those combinations that exists outside of trend cycles. The wine's bright acidity cuts through the brine and the mousse lifts everything. Order both at the same time and don't overthink it.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Southpark Seafood isn't trying to be a wine destination, but it respects the craft enough to build a list that earns your attention. Send a friend here for oysters and Crémant without hesitation.
Northwest 23rd · Portland · Rustic French / Northwest French
St. Jack is the rare Portland restaurant where the wine list earns as much respect as the kitchen. The French-Oregon axis is well-executed, the staff knows what they're talking about, and the pot lyonnais format alone is worth the trip.

Tope is a Wild Card in the best sense — a rooftop taqueria that's quietly assembled a natural and low-intervention wine list worth paying attention to. If you're eating here and only drinking mezcal cocktails, you're leaving half the story on the table.

Bullard Tavern is the Wild Card badge in its purest form — a smoked-meat joint that snuck in a genuinely considered wine list without making a fuss about it. Send a friend here if they think good wine and good brisket can't coexist.

King Tide earns its Wild Card badge by hiding a genuinely curious, well-priced wine list inside what could easily have been a forgettable hotel seafood room. If you're eating oysters on the Willamette, you could do a lot worse than Domaine de l'Écu in your glass.

The Sole Proprietor is a reliable, crowd-pleasing list that does exactly what a classic seafood institution should — it just won't thrill anyone looking for adventure or a fair deal on the big names. Order the oysters, pick the DuMol, and leave the Opus One for someone else's expense account.

Red Lobster Riverside isn't a wine destination — it's a seafood chain with a wine list that exists because it has to. If you're here, drink the Riesling or the Prosecco, enjoy your biscuits, and keep your expectations calibrated accordingly.
