Wingman Metrics
This is a craft brewery first, wine program second — but they've put in more thought than most beer-focused spots. The 40-50 bottle list plays it safe with recognizable regions, but there's enough French diversity to suggest someone cares beyond just filling slots.
France gets the most love here: Burgundy Chardonnay, Loire Muscadet, Languedoc Picpoul, and Côtes de Provence rosé show range beyond the usual suspects. California and Argentina hit the expected notes with Napa Cab and Mendoza Malbec, while New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and South African sparkling add some geographic interest. The port selection (including a 20-year Tawny) is a nice touch for a brewery. What's missing: any natural wines, orange wines, or adventurous producers — this list wants to please everyone without challenging anyone.
Eleven pours at $12-$24 is solid for a gastropub, and they're not just dumping the cheapest bottles. Graham Beck sparkling at the lower end and Annabella Napa Cab at the top shows they're trying to cover the spectrum. The French representation (Sancerre, Burgundy, Muscadet) means you're not stuck with generic New World options.
Hughes Beaulieu Picpoul de Pinet — $12-15/glass
Languedoc white that drinks way above its price point — crisp, mineral, and perfect with their charcuterie without breaking the bank
Muscadet Terroir Les Gras Moutons
Most people skip Loire whites for Sancerre, but this coastal mineral bomb is made for fried chicken — and probably costs less by the glass
Annabella Cabernet
Napa Cab at a brewery always means steep markup — you're paying for the valley name when the Quest Red Blend probably delivers better value
Fabre Rosé Grenache-Shiraz + Charcuterie Board
Provence rosé is classic charcuterie insurance — cuts through fat, doesn't fight the salt, and stays refreshing through multiple bites
✔️ The Bottom Line
This is your neighborhood reliable when you want wine at a brewery without settling for house red. Fair prices, solid international range, nothing thrilling but nothing offensive either.
Pearl District · San Antonio · Farm to Table
Isidore is doing more with wine than San Antonio's dining scene typically demands, and the farm-driven menu gives every bottle on this list a genuine reason to exist. Send your wine-curious friends here — they'll leave impressed without knowing exactly why, and that's the mark of a list done right.

La Cantera · San Antonio · American, French
Signature is a reliable, polished wine experience for a resort restaurant — not a destination list, but one that won't let you down with the right order. Stick to France and Jordan, skip the Opus One markup, and let the Krug do something interesting with the meat.

Bohanan's is doing real work on the wine side — a deep, well-curated list in a room that deserves it, even if the pricing leans on the premium end and the staff isn't quite sommelier-level yet. If you're in San Antonio and want a proper bottle with a proper steak, this is your spot.

Come for the inventive Thai-Texan BBQ mashup, but stick to beer or cocktails. The wine program feels like an afterthought at a restaurant that deserves better.

Ida Claire isn't trying to blow anyone's mind with wine—and that's fine. Fair pricing, decent variety by the glass, and a list that won't confuse your wine-curious friends. You won't find anything exciting, but you won't get gouged either.

Loop 250 / Retail Corridor · Midland · American Gastropub
Cork & Pig is doing more with wine than anyone should expect from a retail-corridor gastropub in Midland. The markups sting a little at the top end, but the Social Hour pricing and the breadth of the by-the-glass program make this an easy recommendation for locals who want something better than house red.

The Pennant is a great place to bowl, eat a burger, and knock back a cheap drink — just don't come expecting anything from the wine list. Order the sangria, enjoy the arcade, and save your wine curiosity for somewhere else.

Come to The Moot House for the atmosphere, the craft beer, and the fish and chips — not the wine. This list is a placeholder, not a program, and the markups don't justify the effort of choosing carefully.
