The wine list at Ruby Tuesday Newport News isn't really a wine list — it's a footnote at the bottom of a laminated menu. Two wines, both Canyon Road, both California, both NV. This is the wine equivalent of someone handing you a gas station sandwich and calling it dinner.
Canyon Road Chardonnay and Canyon Road Cabernet Sauvignon are the entire program. That's it. Canyon Road retails for around $5-7 a bottle, so a $6 pour for six ounces isn't highway robbery, but the ambition here is essentially zero. There's no geographic range, no vintage variation, no attempt to offer anything beyond the two most recognizable varietals in America. If you've ever wondered what a wine list looks like when nobody in the building cares about wine, this is it.
Two options by the glass — Chardonnay or Cab — which means your entire decision tree is 'white or red.' You can upgrade to a 9-ounce pour for $9, which is the most exciting thing happening on this list. There is no rotation, no seasonal swap, no surprises coming.
Canyon Road Cabernet Sauvignon NV — $6
At $6 for six ounces, you're not getting robbed — Canyon Road is a bulk California Cab that does what it says on the label. If you need a red with your burger, this is the least-bad call on the menu.
Canyon Road Chardonnay NV
Not hidden, not a gem, but if you're eating lighter fare and the Chardonnay is served cold, it's inoffensive and gets the job done. Lower your expectations and it won't let you down.
Canyon Road Cabernet Sauvignon NV (9oz upgrade)
The $9 nine-ounce upgrade sounds like a deal until you remember you're drinking more of the same bulk Cab. Save the $3, order a second $6 pour if you want more, or just get a beer.
Canyon Road Cabernet Sauvignon NV + Classic Cheeseburger
A soft, fruit-forward bulk Cab with a cheeseburger is basically the casual dining comfort combo — the wine's mild tannins don't fight the beef, and neither of them are trying too hard.
❌ The Bottom Line
Ruby Tuesday's wine program is an afterthought dressed up as a menu section — two Canyon Road pours do not a wine experience make. Order a cocktail, grab a beer, or just accept that wine was never the point here.

P.F. Chang's Newport News is not a wine destination — it's a chain restaurant with a corporate wine list designed to sell recognizable labels at comfortable margins. Come for the Lettuce Wraps and the Wednesday half-price bottles if you must, but don't come expecting anything interesting in the glass.

Logan's Roadhouse is a beer-and-bourbon operation that happens to list six wines as an afterthought — and it shows. Order the steak, order the ribs, order a cold draft; just don't come here expecting the wine list to do any heavy lifting.

LongHorn Newport News isn't a wine destination — it's a steakhouse where wine is an afterthought, priced to extract margin rather than reward curiosity. Order the ribeye, pick the least-bad bottle, and don't expect anyone at the table to talk about what's in the glass.

Red Robin is here to sell you bottomless fries and a good time, not wine — and the list reflects exactly that level of effort. Grab a craft beer or a soda, save your wine spend for literally anywhere else.

There is no wine program here, just wine-shaped options on a chain restaurant menu with markups that would make your eyes water if you checked the retail shelf. Order the margarita — it's what Chili's actually does well.
