Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Rubicon stops you cold — in the best way. Forty-nine labels in a mid-Pennsylvania brasserie, and instead of the usual Meiomi and Kim Crawford parade, you're looking at Kellerei Bozen Müller Thurgau, Pacherhof Kerner, and a Drappier Brut Nature. Someone here is paying attention.
The whites are the headline act. There's a genuine commitment to Northern Italian and Alpine varietals — the Fantinel Rocciaponca Pinot Grigio, the Prá Soave Classico Otto, the Mastroberardino Novaserra Greco di Tufo — this is a list that reaches well past the obvious. The Terrazze dell'Etna Ciuri Bianco and the Clos Regain Petit Mansengo from Gascony add even more texture to a category that most restaurants completely phone in. The bubbles section is stacked too, running from the entry-level Ruffino Lumina Prosecco all the way up to Drappier's zero-dosage Brut Nature at $185 — not cheap, but the right bottle for the right table. Reds data is thinner in what was shared, so we'd want a closer look there before crowning this thing.
Thirteen pours across a $12–$22 range is a solid program, and the spread suggests the by-the-glass list isn't just dumping house wine on you. If the Gerard Bertrand Côte des Roses and the Miraval Rosé are both available by the glass, that's two genuinely crowd-pleasing options that don't embarrass themselves.
Kellerei Bozen Müller Thurgau 2023 — $60
Kellerei Bozen is one of the best co-ops in Alto Adige — their Müller Thurgau is crisp, aromatic, and completely underrated. At $60, this is the kind of bottle that drinks well above its price tag, and almost no one at the table will have had it before.
Clos Regain La Côte de Brumes Petit Mansengo 2023
Petit Manseng from Gascony is a serious wine — honeyed but dry, with real tension and a long finish. Most people walk right past it for a Pinot Grigio or a Chardonnay. Don't. This is the most interesting white on the list and it's only $70.
Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Reserve
At $120, Nicolas Feuillatte is the most aggressively average Champagne you can buy. It's everywhere, it's fine, and it's not worth $120. The Drappier Brut Nature a few lines down is a more interesting bottle for only $65 more — or step back to the Piper-Heidsieck at $110 if you want the familiar.
Prá Soave Classico Otto 2021 + Moules Frites
Soave Classico with Garganega's signature almond-and-citrus profile is built for briny shellfish. The Otto has enough weight to stand up to the butter in the broth without steamrolling the mussels. Classic brasserie move.
The Bottom Line
Rubicon is doing something genuinely uncommon for Harrisburg — a wine list with a real point of view, fair pricing, and bottles that reward curiosity. If you like exploring past the obvious, this list earns a detour.

The Forebay is a perfectly competent resort wine list — you won't be miserable, but you won't be excited either. If you're already here, lean into the by-the-glass program and chase the Grillo or a port; if wine is a priority, manage expectations accordingly.

Momo's is a pizzeria with a wine list that would embarrass some Italian restaurants with actual tablecloths — fair prices, real producers, and the uncommon generosity of offering everything by the glass. If you're in Harrisburg and want a good bottle with your pie, this is where you go.

Bonefish Grill Harrisburg is a dependable dinner out, not a wine destination — the list is corporate-safe, the markups are real, and nobody behind the bar is losing sleep over vintage variation. Come for the seafood, pick something crisp and white, and set your expectations accordingly.

The Bread Box is clearly here for the bread, the sandwiches, and the café experience — and that's totally fine. The wine list is an afterthought dressed up in familiar labels with markups that don't reward you for paying attention. Stick to the food, order a coffee, and save the wine for dinner somewhere else.

Millworks is a brewery first and a wine destination second, but the wine list punches well above what you'd expect from a place whose tap list is the main event. Come for the beer, stay for a Grüner or a Galen Glen — and tell your wine-skeptic friends it's a brewery so they'll actually show up.
