Rokka's hits you with energy the moment you walk in — loud music, bright colors, a bar built for cocktails. The wine list, though, reads like an afterthought tucked behind the margarita menu. It's short, safe, and clearly not the reason anyone came here.
The list skews hard toward American grocery store staples — Josh Cellars, Kendall-Jackson, Meiomi, Apothic Red — with almost no representation from the Latin American and Spanish regions the cuisine practically begs for. There's no Malbec from Mendoza, no Tempranillo from Rioja, nothing from Chile or Uruguay. For a restaurant that leans into its Latin identity, it's a strange and missed opportunity. The list tops out around 15–20 bottles and doesn't appear to have changed much since opening.
By-the-glass options run roughly four to eight pours, covering the usual suspects: a Cab, a Chardonnay, a Pinot Noir or two, a Moscato. Barefoot Moscato at $7 a glass — same price as retail — is practically a giveaway. The glass program won't surprise you, but it also won't empty your wallet.
Barefoot Moscato NV — $7
At $7 a glass with a 100% markup, this is essentially retail pricing. It's not a serious wine, but if you're eating street tacos in a loud, festive room, a cold, slightly sweet pour at seven bucks is hard to argue with.
Apothic Red NV
Nobody's ordering this thinking they're getting something interesting, but at $8 a glass with a modest markup, the dark, jammy blend actually holds its own against the bold spice in the fajitas and grilled meats. Low expectations, decent payoff.
La Crema Pinot Noir NV
At $12 a glass, this is the priciest pour on the list and carries the worst relative value — retail is $22 a bottle, so you're paying more than half a bottle's worth for a single glass. La Crema is fine wine, but it's delicate, and it's going to get steamrolled by cumin and chili.
Meiomi Pinot Noir NV + Street Tacos
Meiomi's soft fruit and low tannins don't fight the taco fillings the way a Cab would. It's light enough to let the seasoned meat lead, and the slight sweetness in the blend plays off smoky, char-grilled flavors. Not a high-minded pairing, but it works.
❌ The Bottom Line
Rokka's is genuinely fun — come for the cocktails, come for the tacos, come for the vibe. Just don't come for the wine list, because nobody built one here.

Downtown / Holmes Avenue · Huntsville · Gastropub, American, Brewery
BeeZr isn't a wine destination — it's a craft beer bar that remembered wine drinkers exist — and on those terms, it delivers. The prices are fair, the pours are familiar, and if your crew insists on this spot, you won't be stuck with bad options or bad value.

Amerigo isn't where you go to geek out on wine — it's where you go to eat good Italian food and drink something that won't let you down. For Huntsville, that makes it a reliable anchor worth keeping in the rotation.
