Perry's wine list reads exactly like you'd expect from a polished steakhouse chain — recognizable names, predictable regions, and prices that assume you're expensing the meal. There's nothing offensive here, but there's also nothing that makes you lean forward in your chair.
Seventy-six labels sounds like a meaningful list until you realize it's heavily weighted toward California reds and crowd-friendly whites with almost no Old World depth worth mentioning. The sparkling section is a bright spot — Langlois Crémant de Loire Brut Rosé at $80 and a Perry's Reserve Premier Cru Champagne at $130 give it a bit of polish. The DBR Lafite 'Les Légendes' Red Blend is a nice name-drop, but you're paying a chain premium for a Bordeaux négociant wine that retails around $20. Pinot Noir fans are left largely to fend for themselves with J. Lohr 'Falcon's Perch' as the main option.
Thirty-seven by-the-glass options is genuinely impressive on paper, and it gives Perry's real credit for accessibility — most tables can find something they'll enjoy without committing to a bottle. The range spans $9.50 to $49 a glass, which means you can nurse a Banfi Rosa Regale at the low end or treat yourself to something more serious if the mood hits. Rotation doesn't appear to be a priority; this feels like a set-it-and-forget-it program rather than something a team is actively curating.
Langlois Crémant de Loire Brut Rosé — $80
Crémant de Loire from a respected house — this is the kind of bottle that drinks above its station and typically retails under $20. At $80 it's still on the steep side, but for a steakhouse sparkling option it's the smartest play on the list and a genuine alternative to the Champagne entries.
Dr. Loosen 'Dr. L' Riesling
Most steakhouse crowds walk right past Riesling without a second thought, and that's a mistake. Loosen's 'Dr. L' is a bright, off-dry German Riesling that cuts through rich sauces and fatty cuts better than any Chardonnay on this list. At $42 it's not a bargain, but it's a wine with actual personality in a list that's mostly playing it safe.
Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite 'Les Légendes' Red Blend
The Lafite name is doing a lot of heavy lifting here at $50. 'Les Légendes' is a négociant-level Bordeaux blend that retails around $18–22 — you're paying nearly 2.5x for the prestige of the label, not the quality of what's in the glass. There are better options on this list for the same money.
Hartford Court Chardonnay + Perry's Pork Chop
Hartford Court is one of the more serious Chardonnays on this list — Russian River fruit with enough richness to stand up to Perry's famous thick-cut pork chop without getting swallowed by it. It's a step above the usual steakhouse Chard and earns its $72 price tag more than most bottles here.
The Bottom Line
Perry's is a perfectly competent wine stop for steakhouse purposes — you'll find something to drink, the by-the-glass selection is broad, and nobody's going home unhappy. But if you care about value or discovery, this list won't challenge you, and the markup on recognizable names is a quiet tax on your loyalty to the brand.
