Wingman Metrics
The name says Napa, and they're not bluffing — you'll spot recognizable California labels right away. It's a short list, but at these prices, the bar is set in your favor before you even order. This is a neighborhood wine bar that knows exactly what it is and doesn't pretend otherwise.
The list leans hard into California and specifically Napa Valley, which tracks with the concept. You're not getting a world tour here — no Burgundy rabbit hole, no skin-contact curiosities from Slovenia. What you do get is a tight selection of crowd-friendly producers: Stags' Leap and Caymus-Suisun represent the serious end of the spectrum, which is more than most suburban bar-and-grills can say. The gaps are real — no real Old World presence, limited depth outside the glass menu — but within its lane, the list is coherent and deliberate.
Five options by the glass, priced between $5 and $10, which in 2024 is almost aggressively affordable. You've got bubbles covered, a house white and red baseline, and then Stags' Leap Chardonnay and Caymus-Suisun Gran Durif doing the heavy lifting. Rotation doesn't appear to be a priority here — this looks like a stable pour list — but when the prices are this low, consistency isn't a bad thing.
Stags' Leap Napa Valley Chardonnay — $10
Stags' Leap at $10 a glass is the kind of deal that makes you double-check the menu. This is a respected Napa producer, and you'd pay double this at most comparable spots. Order two.
Caymus-Suisun Gran Durif Petite Syrah
Most people at this bar are going to order the Chardonnay or the house red and move on. Don't. The Caymus-Suisun Gran Durif is a big, inky Petite Sirah from a label most people only know for Cabernet — it's a different beast entirely and worth the detour.
House Wine by the Glass
When you've got Stags' Leap and Caymus-Suisun on the same menu at similar price points, there's no reason to default to the house pour. The upgrade cost is negligible and the quality gap is not.
Caymus-Suisun Gran Durif Petite Syrah + Burger or grilled meat option
Petite Sirah is built for red meat — dense tannins, dark fruit, the whole package. Whatever comes off the grill here is going to find a willing partner in the Gran Durif.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Napa Kitchen + Bar isn't trying to reinvent the wine list — it's trying to put solid California wine in front of Westerville at prices that don't sting. On that front, it absolutely delivers. Send a friend here who wants a decent glass without a lecture.
German Village · Columbus · Italian
Cento is the rare Columbus restaurant where the wine list is a genuine reason to go, not just a footnote to the pasta. Matthew Selva's Italian-focused program earned its Wine Spectator nod honestly — send your wine-curious friends here without hesitation.

Barcelona has been earning its Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2005, and the list holds up — serious Spanish producers, fair prices, and enough glass pours to drink well across a full tapas spread. For Columbus, this is genuinely the best Spanish wine program in the room.

The Refectory has been doing this quietly and correctly since 2003, and a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence held that long doesn't happen by accident. If you're in Columbus and serious about wine, this is the room — full stop.

Easton Town Center · Columbus · Steak House
Mastro's Columbus is a trophy-wine steakhouse doing what trophy-wine steakhouses do — and doing it well enough to earn a Wine Spectator credential in its first year. If you're celebrating something, drinking California cab with a great steak, and not particularly interested in venturing off the map, this list will absolutely deliver.

Jeff Ruby's is doing the steakhouse wine list right — deep cellar, Wine Spectator credentials, and enough California firepower to keep any red wine drinker busy all night. Bring your appetite for both the ribeye and the markup, because this room doesn't apologize for either.

Agni is the best wine list in Columbus most people haven't had a reason to talk about yet — until now. With two sommeliers, a 300–500 bottle program, and a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence already in its first year, send your friends here and tell them to skip the Caymus.
