The name does exactly what it says on the tin — this is a Napa-forward list in a wood-fired, scratch-kitchen setting in College Station, and the vibe is confident without being pretentious. You open the list and immediately recognize the hits: Caymus, Rombauer, Jordan. It's a crowd-pleaser from page one, which is either reassuring or predictable depending on your mood.
The 60-100 label list leans hard into California, specifically Napa Valley, with a tight roster of recognizable names that will keep most tables happy and curious drinkers a little bored. Stag's Leap, Duckhorn, Jordan, Rombauer, and Caymus are all present — solid producers, no argument there — but the list doesn't venture much beyond the California mainstream. There's no real Old World representation to speak of, no natural wine flirtation, and no deep-cut producers that signal a buyer with genuine obsession. For a restaurant inspired by Napa's wine culture, the list reads more like a greatest-hits playlist than a curated cellar.
The by-the-glass program runs 10-20 options in the $9-$16 range, which is a decent spread for College Station. You're not going to find obscure pours here, but the quality floor is respectable — this isn't the kind of place serving mystery bulk wine by the glass. Rotation appears minimal; this list feels more set-it-and-forget-it than actively managed.
Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley — $35–$120 bottle range
Jordan consistently punches above its price in blind tastings and brings genuine Alexander Valley elegance to a list that otherwise skews toward Napa power. If it lands on the lower end of the bottle range, it's the smartest pour on the list.
Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley
Everyone at the table is eyeing the Rombauer Chard or the Caymus Cab, and the Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc just sits there quietly. It's a genuinely well-made wine — crisp, textured, not the grassy New Zealand style — and it's the right call with wood-fired fish or a lighter pasta. Most people skip it. Don't be most people.
Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Caymus is ubiquitous on restaurant lists for a reason — it's rich, approachable, and everyone knows the name. But the markup on a wine this widely distributed is almost always brutal, and the production scale means you're paying a premium for a brand, not a bottle. The Jordan is the better play at this table.
Rombauer Chardonnay Carneros + Wood-fired fresh fish
Rombauer's Carneros Chardonnay is ripe, buttery, and built for exactly this kind of match — the char and smoke from the wood-fired oven play off the wine's vanilla-oak weight, while the fish keeps it from getting heavy. It's the one moment on this list where the wine and the kitchen actually seem to be talking to each other.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Napa Flats is a reliable wine stop for College Station — the producers are legit, the by-the-glass options are workable, and the setting makes a bottle feel appropriate. Just don't come in expecting discovery; this list is built for comfort, not adventure.
Century Square · College Station · Rooftop Bar
12 Rooftop Bar is a great place to watch the sunset and drink something cold — but if wine is your reason for coming, you're going to be disappointed. Order a cocktail, enjoy the view, and save the wine night for somewhere else.

Pablo's is a solid taco spot that treats wine as a legal obligation rather than a point of pride. Order the margarita, enjoy the tacos, and if you must have wine, grab the Masi and call it a night.

J. Cody's is clearly here for the meat, not the wine — and honestly, that's fine, but at least price the bottles fairly if you're going to phone it in. Order a Shiner Bock, eat the brisket, and save your wine curiosity for somewhere that returns the favor.

This is not a wine destination, and Red Lobster isn't pretending otherwise. If someone in your group insists on wine with their Cheddar Bay Biscuits, point them toward the Riesling and move on.

Fish Daddy's wine list is the dining equivalent of a reliable pickup truck — it gets you where you're going without any fuss, but don't expect it to take any scenic routes. Send a friend here for the seafood; just coach them on where to spend and where to save on the wine list.
