Wingman Metrics
A dedicated Champagne bar in Bentonville, Arkansas is not something you expect to find — and yet here we are, staring at a 52-label list organized by subregion, with grower producers rubbing shoulders with grandes maisons. The list is focused and deliberate in a way that most wine bars in much larger cities never manage.
The list leans hard into Champagne and earns every bit of that focus: Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Bar are all represented, and the grower-producer depth is real — Moussé Les Fortes Terres 2018 ($280/bottle), Marc Hébrart Special Club 2019 ($160/bottle), and Remi Leroy Extra Brut ($110/bottle) tell you these buyers are paying attention to what's happening outside Épernay. The grande maison picks — Dom Pérignon 2015 at $300/bottle, Krug 172ème at $300/bottle, Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle at $300/bottle — are priced at fair-to-reasonable for what they are. Beyond Champagne, a compact German Riesling section adds an unexpected but logical counterpoint, with bottles like the Wagner Stempel Höllberg GG Riesling 2023 ($85/bottle) and the JJ Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Auslese 2011 ($120/bottle) rounding out the acid-lovers' fantasy. There are gaps — no still red wines, no Burgundy, no Chablis — but this is by design, and the focus is what makes it special.
Twenty-four by-the-glass options at a 52-label house is a remarkable ratio and suggests serious commitment to accessibility. Glass prices run $12–$70, which covers the full range from entry-level to genuinely special pours. We don't have confirmed glass-pour rotation data, but at this volume, even casual visits should surface something worth ordering.
The Bottom Line
Muselet is a genuine anomaly — a focused, knowledgeable Champagne bar in northwest Arkansas with grower producers, subregion organization, and pricing that doesn't punish you for caring about wine. If you're anywhere near Bentonville, this is the stop. If you're not near Bentonville, it might be worth reconsidering your route.

The Meteor is exactly the kind of wine-forward wild card that Bentonville didn't know it needed — it's not trying to be a serious wine destination, but it's trying harder than most places its size, and that counts for something. Send a friend here for a casual glass before dinner, not for a deep-dive cellar experience.
