The wine list at Max London's is short, approachable, and entirely by the glass — 16 options that mirror the restaurant's casual-chic energy without asking too much of anyone. It's the kind of list that gets the job done on a busy Saturday night in downtown Saratoga, but it won't make you put down your cocktail menu. Think crowd-pleasing labels over adventurous picks.
The list pulls from Italy, France, California, Spain, and Argentina — a respectable geographic spread for its size, even if the producers lean toward the familiar and the safe. You've got Cecchi Chianti Classico and Vina Bujanda Rioja Crianza flying the Old World flag, while Juggernaut's Cabernet and Chardonnay anchor the California contingent. Louis Jadot's Macon-Villages Chardonnay is a welcome nod to Burgundy without going full deep-cellar about it. The gaps are real though — no Riesling, no Pinot Gris, no skin-contact wines, nothing that would make a wine-focused diner lean in.
All 16 wines pour by the glass, which is the whole program here — there's no separate bottle list to speak of. Prices run $13 to $19, which sounds reasonable until you realize you're paying $17 for Whispering Angel, a wine that retails around $25 and has been on every restaurant list in America since 2018. The Zardetto Prosecco at the entry point is a decent opener, and the Francois Montand Sparkling Rosé adds a touch of Champagne-region legitimacy to the bubbles section.
Louis Jadot Chardonnay, Macon-Villages, 2023 — $15
Jadot's Macon-Villages is a reliable, food-friendly white Burgundy that retails around $14-16 — so you're not getting gouged here. It's a genuine step up from generic Chardonnay territory without the premium price tag, and it works well across Max London's menu.
Vina Bujanda Rioja Crianza, Oyon, Spain, 2021
Most tables at Max London's are ordering the Whispering Angel or the Juggernaut Cab without a second thought. The Vina Bujanda Rioja Crianza is quietly the most interesting red on this list — a proper Tempranillo with some actual age and structure, from a solid producer in Rioja. It's the kind of wine that rewards the person willing to ask for it.

Look, it's not a bad wine. But at $17 a glass for something you can grab at the grocery store for $25 a bottle, the math just doesn't work in your favor. It's also the most predictable pick on the list — you deserve better.
Cecchi Chianti Classico DOCG, Italy, 2023 + Wood-fired pizza
Sangiovese and tomato sauce have been working together for centuries for a reason. The Cecchi Chianti's bright acidity and earthy backbone cut right through the char and richness of Max London's wood-fired pies without overwhelming the toppings. It's the most natural match on the menu.
