Wingman Metrics
You're sitting at a marina restaurant in Daytona Beach, expecting the wine list to be a laminated card with Kendall-Jackson and a Meiomi. Instead, Failla Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and Billecart-Salmon Brut RosΓ© in magnum are staring back at you. Someone here is paying attention β and that's not nothing.
The list is compact but punches well above its weight for this zip code. You've got Clos Henri Estate Sauvignon Blanc out of Marlborough rubbing shoulders with Villa Wolf Gewurztraminer and Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs β that's real range. On the red side, Abeja Cab and Peju Cabernet anchor a Napa-leaning heavier end, while Gerard Bertrand's 'Change' Merlot nods toward something a little more adventurous. The gaps are real β no Italian beyond the Santa Cristina Pinot Grigio, no Pinot Noir to speak of β but for a nightlife-focused marina spot, this list has clearly been curated rather than phoned in.
We don't have confirmed pour counts or rotation details, but the presence of both Failla Chardonnay and Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs on the list suggests at least some glass-pour ambition. If those are available by the glass, that alone puts them ahead of most waterfront spots in Florida. We'd ask the server directly β the by-the-glass program is where you'll find out how committed the kitchen really is to this wine thing.
Clos Henri Estate Sauvignon Blanc β null
New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from a serious producer with Burgundian roots β this is a step well above the typical beach-bar pours. It's bright and textured enough to hold its own against global small plates, and it signals the list is actually trying.
Villa Wolf Gewurztraminer
Nobody orders Gewurztraminer at a marina cocktail bar β which is exactly why you should. From the Pfalz, this is an aromatic, slightly off-dry white that handles spiced and umami-forward global dishes better than any Chardonnay on the list. It's the sleeper pick.
Santa Cristina Pinot Grigio
It's the filler entry β a perfectly acceptable, perfectly forgettable Italian Pinot Grigio that's almost certainly the cheapest pour on the list marked up the most. With Clos Henri and Failla available, there's no reason to settle here.
Failla Sonoma Coast Chardonnay + globally inspired sharable plates
Failla's Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is restrained, mineral, and coastal β not the buttery California block you might expect. That makes it versatile enough to work across lighter seafood-forward sharable plates without steamrolling anything on the table.
π² The Bottom Line
Mama Foo Foo is a cocktail bar that happens to have a wine list worth reading β and in Daytona Beach, that alone makes it a Wild Card worth pulling. Go in expecting a nightlife spot, and let the Billecart-Salmon magnum surprise you.

Speedway Retail Β· Daytona Beach Β· Asian Chain
Skip this place on any day that isn't Wednesday, when half-price bottles make a mediocre list into a legitimately decent deal β especially if you're ordering around the Rieslings. It's a chain, it drinks like one, but the Wednesday program earns it a pass.

Cast & Crew isn't a wine destination, but it's got just enough going on to reward anyone paying attention β especially if you're ordering the Vouvray with oysters at happy hour. Skip the Champagne, grab a bar seat, and keep your expectations calibrated to the beach you're sitting next to.

Hyde Park Prime Daytona is a dependable, well-run wine program in a room that knows what it wants to be β and mostly delivers. Markups will sting, but the sommelier, the depth, and the oceanfront setting make it the right call when the occasion calls for a serious bottle and a serious steak.
