Walk into Kee Oyster House and you get the full classic New York seafood house treatment — warm lighting, a buzzy bar, and the kind of crowd that's here to linger. The wine list reads like it was built to match the room: safe, classic, and leaning heavily on California and Bordeaux with a Loire Valley nod for the oyster crowd. It's not trying to be a wine destination, but it's not an afterthought either.
The list leans into familiar territory — California whites and reds, a Bordeaux section for the steak-and-lobster crowd, and enough Loire representation to do right by the oyster menu. It's not a deep or adventurous list, but the regional logic holds up: if you're serving briny East Coast oysters, having some Muscadet or Sancerre on hand shows at least some thought went into the build. Don't come here expecting natural wine discoveries or obscure producers — this is a greatest-hits program designed to move bottles without friction. Gaps in the list are easier to spot than the highlights.
We don't have a confirmed count on the glass pours, but a room like this — high volume, bar-forward, oyster-focused — typically leans on a tight by-the-glass rotation built around crowd-pleasing whites and a couple of reds. A crisp white by the glass is the obvious move here given the menu, and the happy hour window (4–7pm, bar only) makes that calculus even easier. If they're rotating glass pours seasonally, there's no clear evidence of it.

Kee Oyster House is a solid neighborhood seafood spot where the wine list does its job without doing anything memorable — if you hit it during happy hour and stick to the whites, you'll eat and drink just fine. We'd love to see the full list before making any stronger calls.

This appears to be a Restaurant Week wine promotion rather than Benjamin Steakhouse's full list, and we'd want to see a complete menu before rendering a final verdict on the overall program. Based on what's sourced here, though, the wine offering is thin for a steakhouse of this caliber — if you're coming for a serious bottle of Cab with your dry-aged ribeye, call ahead and ask what's actually on the full list.

The Capital Grille Stamford isn't going to excite anyone who takes wine seriously, but it's not the embarrassment that many chain steakhouse lists are either. The Prüm Riesling and Substance Cab punch above their price points, and 23 BTG options gives you real flexibility. Just go in knowing the markups are aggressive and the list hasn't changed since someone in a corporate office approved it — probably over a Meiomi.

La Bocca is a polished, reservation-worthy Italian room in White Plains with a wine identity that leans on Italy's marquee regions — safe, serviceable, and priced for a special-occasion crowd. Until we can get eyes on the actual list and confirm what's pouring, we'd treat the wine program as a pleasant companion to the food rather than a destination in its own right. Ask the staff for their recommendation and see what happens.
