Wingman Metrics
The wine list here reads exactly like you'd expect from a national steakhouse chain — tidy, familiar, and engineered to generate no complaints. It's not trying to surprise you, and it won't. What it does offer is a genuinely deep by-the-glass program with 23 pours spanning bubbles, whites, rosé, and reds, which is more than most places this polished bother to build.
The list leans hard into California Cabernet, which makes sense for a steakhouse — you get four Cab options by the glass alone, from Charles Smith's approachable Substance at $13 to Orin Swift's Palermo at $30. Beyond that, there's a reasonable sweep of whites (Riesling from Prüm, two Pinot Grigios, two Sauvignon Blancs), a Whispering Angel rosé, and Malbec from Terrazas for the Merlot-curious crowd. What's missing is any real Old World depth — no Burgundy, no Barolo, no Rioja — and zero ambition to stray from the safe-play playbook. This is a list built by committee for maximum approval, not maximum interest.
Twenty-three pours is an impressive count for BTG, running from $10 (Riondo Prosecco, Casa Lunardi Pinot Grigio) up to $30 (Moët Rosé Impérial, Orin Swift Palermo). The range is real — bubbles, a Mosel Riesling, rosé, and multiple red varietals — even if the selections trend toward crowd-familiar producers. The program feels set and static rather than seasonally rotated, but the sheer volume of options means you'll find something that works.
The Bottom Line
The Capital Grille Stamford isn't going to excite anyone who takes wine seriously, but it's not the embarrassment that many chain steakhouse lists are either. The Prüm Riesling and Substance Cab punch above their price points, and 23 BTG options gives you real flexibility. Just go in knowing the markups are aggressive and the list hasn't changed since someone in a corporate office approved it — probably over a Meiomi.
· White Plains · Italian
La Bocca is a polished, reservation-worthy Italian room in White Plains with a wine identity that leans on Italy's marquee regions — safe, serviceable, and priced for a special-occasion crowd. Until we can get eyes on the actual list and confirm what's pouring, we'd treat the wine program as a pleasant companion to the food rather than a destination in its own right. Ask the staff for their recommendation and see what happens.

Bronxville · White Plains · Wine Bar & Small Plates
Ernie's is the kind of neighborhood wine bar Westchester needs more of: unpretentious, genuinely wine-forward, and priced like they actually want you to order a second glass. If you're in the area on a weekday, hit that happy hour window and settle in.

· White Plains · Spanish tapas & wine bar
Buleria is doing the right things — an actual Spanish-leaning list at fair prices in a market that could easily get away with slapping Malbec and Pinot Grigio on a page and calling it done. It's not a destination wine list, but it's a genuinely solid one, and that's worth something.

White Plains · White Plains · Persian & Mediterranean Wine Bar
Shiraz Kitchen is the kind of unexpected wine find that makes suburban dining worth exploring — a Persian restaurant in White Plains with an honest, curious wine list and glass pour access to nearly everything on it. If you're in Westchester and tired of the same old Chardonnay-and-Cabernet loop, this is your move.

· White Plains · Seafood & Oyster Bar
Kee Oyster House is a solid neighborhood seafood spot where the wine list does its job without doing anything memorable — if you hit it during happy hour and stick to the whites, you'll eat and drink just fine. We'd love to see the full list before making any stronger calls.

· White Plains · Italian wine bar
Mima Vinoteca is doing something genuinely useful: a tight, all-Italian list with fair prices and nearly everything available by the glass, in a suburb that rarely rewards this kind of effort. If you're in White Plains and you want to drink well without a spreadsheet, this is your spot.

· Chandler · Steakhouse
DC Steakhouse's list is honest about what it is: a curated set of California crowd-pleasers anchored by a strong Cabernet bench, with a few thoughtful whites sneaking in around the edges. It won't win any points for adventure, and without pricing data or confirmed glass pours we can't vouch for value — but if you're here for red meat and red wine, you'll find something that works.

Vinings · Vinings · Steakhouse
101 Steak delivers a reliable, if predictable, wine experience built almost entirely around California Cabernet with a few worthwhile outliers hiding in plain sight. The by-the-glass program is genuinely strong in volume, but markups across the list lean toward what the room will bear rather than what's fair. If you're in Vinings and want a good bottle of red with your steak, you'll find one — just spend a minute with the mid-tier options instead of defaulting to the Caymus.

Bourbon & Bones is a steakhouse that takes its Champagne seriously — the sparkling selection runs deeper than most dedicated wine bars in the Valley, and the by-the-glass program gives you real options at multiple price points. The markups are steep across the board and the non-sparkling list is nothing to write home about, but if you're coming here to celebrate over a bone-in ribeye and a bottle of Dom, this list is built for exactly that occasion.
