Walking into a lovingly restored 1915 farmhouse with a wraparound porch and a wine list built almost entirely around Paso Robles producers feels intentional in the best way — this place knows what it is and leans into it hard. The list isn't trying to impress you with a Burgundy cellar or a parade of Napa trophy bottles; it's here to make you drink the region you're sitting in. That focus is refreshing, and a little rare.

The list runs 60-100 bottles deep with a tight regional thesis: Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel anchor the reds, Rhône-style blends round out the personality, and a Central Coast Chardonnay handles white wine duty without much fanfare. Heavy hitters like Tablas Creek, DAOU, and Justin Vineyards show up as recognizable names, and while those are solid, well-distributed picks, we'd love to see more of the boutique, sustainably farmed producers that the restaurant's ethos promises. The Rhône-style blends are where Grace & Rose earns real credibility — Paso's Grenache and Syrah game is genuinely world-class and the list reflects that, even if it could push harder into lesser-known growers. There are gaps: virtually no coverage outside California, which is either a feature or a bug depending on how you feel about regional purity.

Ten to fifteen pours by the glass is a respectable spread for a restaurant this size, and the rotation tracks with the seasonal menu changes — a good sign that someone is paying attention. Expect the glass program to lean toward approachable Paso Cab and a Chardonnay or two, with occasional Rhône-adjacent options rounding things out. We'd push the kitchen to run more adventurous pours through the glass list, because right now it plays it slightly safe compared to what the bottle list hints at.
