Fin & Fino's wine list reads like a coastal Mediterranean restaurant in a growing Southern city should: approachable, safe, and built for the business lunch crowd that doesn't want to think too hard. The list doesn't scream for attention, but it doesn't embarrass itself either.
Expect the Mediterranean basics: Spanish whites from Rías Baixas, Italian reds from Tuscany and Piedmont, a handful of French standards from the Loire and Rhône. The list skews toward crowd-pleasers rather than adventure bottles, which makes sense given the coastal seafood menu. There's likely a respectable selection of rosés for the patio crowd, probably some Provençal standbys and maybe a Spanish pick or two. What's missing is personality—no deep cuts, no natural wine experiments, no sommelier's passion project hiding in the back pages.
The glass pour program probably runs about 8-12 selections, rotating seasonally if you're lucky. Count on an Albariño, a Pinot Grigio, maybe a Grüner Veltliner for the staff to mispronounce. Reds likely include a Chianti, a Côtes du Rhône, and something Spanish that isn't quite Rioja. The pours are functional—wines that won't offend anyone or inspire anyone either.
2021 Vionta Albariño — $42
Classic Rías Baixas white that delivers exactly what the grilled fish needs—citrus, salinity, and enough acidity to cut through butter sauces without breaking the bank
2019 Abbazia di Novacella Praepositus Pinot Bianco
Alto Adige whites are criminally underrated in the States, and this one brings alpine minerality and surprising aging potential that most people skip for the safer Italian options
Whispering Angel Rosé
The patio tax is real—this bottle is everywhere in Charlotte at inflated prices, and Fin & Fino likely charges $55+ for a $15 retail wine that tastes like marketing budget
2020 Paco & Lola Albariño + Grilled Branzino
The wine's sea-spray minerality and the whole grilled fish share the same Atlantic DNA—both clean, both bright, both gone in minutes
✔️ The Bottom Line
Fin & Fino won't blow your mind, but it won't let you down either. Come for the seafood, order something Spanish or Italian, and you'll leave satisfied if not inspired.

Supperland is a genuinely wild place to drink wine — stained glass overhead, a cast iron skillet on the table, and a bottle of Tignanello on the list. The markups aren't generous and no sommelier is guiding you, but if you know what you're looking for, this Wine Spectator-recognized list delivers for a Southern steakhouse in a church.

Reid's is doing real work on this wine list — the Italian depth alone justifies the drive across Charlotte. The markup can sting and there's no dedicated sommelier to guide you through it, but the bones here are excellent and the Wine Spectator recognition is well earned.
