Wingman Metrics
Seventy-two labels in Peachtree City is not what you expect when you pull into a suburban strip mall for fried chicken and sweet potato casserole. The list opens with a surprisingly serious Champagne section — Bollinger, Taittinger, Moët, and an honest-to-goodness 2006 Dom Pérignon — and immediately signals that someone here actually thought about wine. The price floor of $32/bottle keeps the room accessible, which sets the right tone.
The Champagne and sparkling section is the clear headline — eight-plus labels running from a $38 Vandori Prosecco up to the $325 Dom Pérignon, with legitimate names like Bollinger Special Cuvée and Taittinger La Française anchoring the middle. The white wine program leans heavily into Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, with an impressive five-deep Ste. Michelle lineup (including the Eroica collaboration with Dr. Loosen) and Loire representation via Pascal Jolivet's Sancerre. The Sauvignon Blanc section covers New Zealand well with both Oyster Bay and Greywacke. What we can see of the full 72-bottle list suggests solid range beyond these categories, though the visible data skews heavily white and sparkling — the red program is not visible in our sourced data.
Eighteen by-the-glass options at $8–$15 is a real program, not a token effort. You can get the Pascal Jolivet Sancerre for $14/glass, which is a smart call in a restaurant where the food skews rich and Southern. The $8/glass entry points on the Kung Fu Girl Riesling and Chateau Ste. Michelle Dry Riesling give budget-conscious drinkers something worth ordering.
Chateau Ste. Michelle / Dr. Loosen Eroica Riesling 2015 — $51/bottle
The Eroica is one of the most respected American Rieslings made, full stop. A collaboration between two Riesling specialists from opposite sides of the Pacific, and at $51 it's not being gouged. If you're at a Southern restaurant and debating what to drink with fried chicken, this is the answer.
Langlois-Chateau Cremant Rosé
Everyone's eyes go straight to the Champagne section, but the Langlois-Chateau Crémant Rosé at $58/bottle is Loire Valley sparkling from a serious house — more interesting and arguably more fun than a mid-tier Champagne at twice the price. It gets skipped because it doesn't have a famous name. That's exactly why you should order it.
Moët Imperial Brut
At $118/bottle, Moët Imperial is the most ubiquitous Champagne on earth — it's fine, but it's also the default choice of people who want to look like they ordered Champagne without really thinking about it. For the same money you can get the Bollinger Special Cuvée at $136 (worth the difference) or step down to Taittinger at $80 and pocket the change.
Pascal Jolivet Sancerre 2015 + Fried chicken
High-acid Loire Sauvignon Blanc and fried chicken is a legitimately great combination — the Sancerre's brightness cuts through the fat and the herbal notes play off the seasoning. At $14/glass you can commit to a couple of pours without doing math on the way out.
The Bottom Line
Elliott's punches well above its suburban strip-mall address with a 72-bottle list, a real sparkling program, and by-the-glass options that actually reward attention. Markups look fair across the board, and the Riesling depth alone is worth noting in a town where most restaurants hand you a Kendall-Jackson and call it a day. If you're heading here for a special occasion dinner, skip the Moët, grab the Eroica or the Sancerre, and eat the fried chicken. You'll leave happy.

Ole Red is a concert venue and bar that happens to have wine on the menu — and it shows. If you're in Gatlinburg for live music and cold beer, this place probably delivers. If you're looking to drink well, skip the wine entirely and order a cocktail or a local beer. There are better uses for your $10.

Ida Claire isn't a wine destination, but it's a solid place to drink wine — especially if you time it for happy hour. Show up between 3 and 6, order the shrimp and grits, and let someone else worry about the cellar.

Hattie's is a Saratoga institution that earns its reputation on the food, not the wine list. The list is short, safe, and priced fairly enough that ordering a bottle won't sting — just don't come here expecting anything beyond the basics.
