Wingman Metrics
Four wines. That's the list at Eddie V's McLean — four by-the-glass pours and apparently nothing else sourced from the menu PDF. For a polished, upscale seafood concept where entrées likely run $40 and up, this is a swing-and-a-miss before you even sit down.
What's here is entirely safe and entirely predictable: a Casa Lunardi Pinot Grigio from Delle Venezie, a California Chardonnay under the Sedimentary label, an Inflection Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Tercet Pinot Noir from the Central Coast. All four are approachable, inoffensive, and engineered for broad appeal — none of them will surprise you, challenge you, or give you a reason to linger over the list. There's no Old World presence, no regional curiosity, no depth to speak of. At a restaurant charging steakhouse prices, this reads less like a curated program and more like a corporate minimum.
The entire sourced list appears to be by-the-glass offerings, which means there's no bottle program in evidence here at all. Four pours covering white, red, and that's basically it — no sparkling, no rosé, no off-the-beaten-path option. Rotation isn't documented, so don't count on this changing anytime soon.
The Bottom Line
With only four wines sourced from the menu and no pricing data to work with, we can't responsibly call out a winner or a steal here — and honestly, there may not be one. If you're making a trip to Eddie V's McLean for wine, recalibrate expectations before you arrive or lean hard into the cocktail list instead.
