Wingman Metrics
The wine list here is less a list and more a lineup — six labels deep, all of them recognizable names you've seen at Total Wine. For a brand that carries the Del Frisco's name, the ambition on the wine side stops well short of the steakhouse pedigree.
Six wines, full stop. You've got two Belle Glos expressions (the Blanc de Noir 'Oeil de Perdrix' and the Pinot Noir '25th Anniversary'), a Böen Tri-County Chardonnay, two Westhoff Pioneers Red Blends (one Italian-leaning, one USA), and the Quilt Napa Cab to anchor the big-red side. It's worth noting that all six come from the Joe Wagner family of brands — Belle Glos, Böen, Quilt, and Westhoff are all Wagner productions — so what reads as a wine list is essentially a branded dinner promotion, not a curated program. There are no whites beyond the Chardonnay and Blanc de Noir, no sparkling, no rosé, no old-world options, and no depth whatsoever. If you came in on a non-event night expecting a proper list, you'd be looking at a very short menu.
By-the-glass details aren't confirmed in the available data, so we can't tell you what's actually pouring or at what price. Given that the six wines we know about were tied to a ticketed wine dinner event, it's unclear how many — if any — are available as regular pours on any given night.
The Bottom Line
What we have here is a six-bottle wine dinner roster masquerading as a wine program — and every one of those bottles comes from the same producer family. That's not a wine list, that's a sponsorship. Until Del Frisco's Grille Plano puts actual curation into its wine program, we'd suggest leaning into the cocktail menu instead.
· Plano · Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chão Plano isn't trying to be a wine destination and doesn't pretend otherwise — but that all-day $6 happy hour on South American wines, anchored by solid producers like Alamos and Calina, gives the list a practical generosity that earns it some respect. If you're here for the churrasco experience, the Catena Malbec at $12 is your move. Wine enthusiasts should calibrate expectations accordingly, but nobody's walking away feeling gouged.

Del Frisco's Plano delivers a wine list that does its job without doing anything exciting — it's competent, recognizable, and priced for a room where the company card is doing the heavy lifting. If you're here for the steak and want a bottle that won't embarrass you, the list handles that. If you're here to drink well on your own dime, the markup will sting.

Legacy West · Plano · Italian
Taverna – Legacy West is a solid Italian restaurant with a wine program that reflects its roots in northern Italy — if you stick to the regional Italian selections, you're probably in good shape. We'd love more transparency on pricing and pour options before giving it a stronger endorsement, but for Legacy West, this clears the bar comfortably. Go for the branzino and ask your server what's drinking well from the Piedmont section.

The Mercury is a safe, competent wine list for a polished New American in Plano — you won't be stuck drinking something bad, but you probably won't discover anything new either. If you're here, the Allegrini Ripasso is worth the detour from the obvious picks, and we'd skip the Moët unless someone else is paying.

Flower Child's wine program exists in name only — six unnamed pours between $9 and $10 tell you exactly how much thought went into this. If you're here for the grain bowls and good vibes, great. If you want to drink wine with intention, you're in the wrong place. Order a sparkling water and move on.

The Henry is a reliable spot for a glass of something decent, especially if you're drawn to the by-the-glass Champagne options or want to explore the Chardonnay section without committing to a bottle. The markups run steep and the list doesn't take many risks below the prestige Champagne tier, but the raw volume of BTG options and a few genuinely good producers keep it from being a total pass. Come for the Larmandier-Bernier, skip the Ace of Spades.

If you're a committed Wagner Family fan who wants to drink Belle Glos Pinot Noir and Quilt Cab in a restaurant setting, this is technically your spot. Everyone else should order a cocktail and put their wine budget toward dinner somewhere with an actual wine list.

What we can see from the available data is a six-bottle California-only snapshot tied to a wine dinner event — not enough to call this a real wine program. Del Frisco's Grille may have more going on behind the scenes, but until we see the full list, we'd recommend ordering a cocktail or asking your server what's actually available by the glass before committing to a bottle.
