Eight wines. That's it. Eight. For a restaurant carrying the Del Frisco's name — a brand that built its reputation on big steaks and bigger wine programs — this Nashville outpost's list is almost aggressively minimal. You flip open the menu hoping for a rabbit hole and find a hallway.
The list reads like someone grabbed whatever was on sale at the regional distributor that month: J. Lohr Riverstone Chardonnay, Frenzy Sauvignon Blanc, Padrillos Malbec, Franciscan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. These are fine, recognizable bottles you'd find at any Kroger with a decent wine aisle. To be fair, there's one genuinely interesting move here — a dessert section featuring Fonseca Bin No. 27 port, Taylor Fladgate 20 Year Old Tawny, and Royal Tokaji Late Harvest, which is a weird flex on a list this thin, but we'll take it. If the kitchen is pushing steaks and mains that deserve serious red wine, eight labels — four of which are table-stakes crowd pleasers — isn't even trying.
Everything on the list is available by the glass, which sounds generous until you realize the list is only eight bottles deep. The happy hour $10 pours make the entry-level stuff tolerable — Miraval Rosé and J. Lohr Chardonnay at ten bucks is a reasonable deal. Beyond that, the Taylor Fladgate 20 Year Tawny at $24 is the only glass that actually goes somewhere interesting.

A 20-year Tawny by the glass is genuinely rare on a restaurant list this size. It's the one pour here that punches well above the list's weight class — complex, nutty, worth every dollar.
Royal Tokaji Late Harvest
Most people ordering wine at a grille aren't thinking about Hungarian dessert wine, which means this one gets ignored. Royal Tokaji is a serious producer, and a late harvest Tokaji at the end of a meal is a legitimate treat that nobody at this table is ordering.
Frenzy Sauvignon Blanc
A $10 glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is exactly what it sounds like — grapefruity, grassy, and completely forgettable. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing right with it either. There's zero reason to order this over literally anything else on the list.
Franciscan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon + Steak (house cut)
It's the most predictable pairing on the menu and also the most correct one. Franciscan Estate Cab is a soft, approachable California Cabernet that won't fight the beef — it just does its job and gets out of the way.
The Bottom Line
Del Frisco's Grille Nashville is coasting hard on brand recognition with a wine list that a decent gastropub would be embarrassed by. Swing by for happy hour, grab a $10 pour, and don't expect anyone to help you think about what you're drinking.
