Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Cracker Barrel Hot Springs is less a curated program and more a shelf-stable afterthought — the kind of thing that exists because someone in corporate decided checkers-playing country diners might want a Moscato with their chicken n' dumplins. What you're looking at is essentially a convenience store wine rack dressed up in a rocking chair.
The roster is almost entirely Sutter Home — Moscato, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon — supplemented by Roscato's sweet Italian offerings and a Gambino sparkling wine. There are generic house listings for Riesling and Pinot Grigio that appear nowhere else on the menu, suggesting they may or may not actually show up on your table. No independent producers, no regional representation from Arkansas (which actually has some legitimate wineries worth knowing), and zero ambition beyond stocking whatever Sutter Home's national sales rep dropped off.
Everything is by the glass here — there doesn't appear to be a meaningful bottle program to speak of. Glass pours hover in the $5-$6 range, which at least keeps the damage light. Rotation is nonexistent; this list is set in stone like a laminated placemat.
Gambino Sparkling Wine NV — $4.99
Weirdly, this is the one play that actually makes sense. Gambino's Prosecco retails closer to $11, so you're drinking it below retail — a genuine anomaly in restaurant pricing. It won't blow your mind, but for five bucks and fizz, it beats the Sutter Home alternatives every time.
Roscato Moscato
Nobody ordering country fried steak is reaching for this northern Italian semi-sweet, which means it sits untouched and probably cold. If you're committed to dessert in a glass and the Gambino is tapped out, Roscato is at least a step above the Sutter Home sugar-bomb version of the same idea.
Sutter Home Merlot NV
There is no scenario where a restaurant Merlot from Sutter Home improves your evening. You can buy a four-pack of these at any gas station for less than you'll pay here. Order the sweet tea.
Gambino Sparkling Wine NV + Chicken n' Dumplins
Bubbles cut through the richness of the creamy dumpling broth better than anything else on this list. It's not a high-concept pairing — it's just the best option available doing the most sensible thing possible.
❌ The Bottom Line
We wouldn't send anyone to Cracker Barrel for wine, and neither should you — the food is the point, the wine is a footnote. If you need a glass with dinner, grab the Gambino sparkling and move on with your life.
Central Avenue / South Hot Springs · Hot Springs · Sports Bar Chain
Buffalo Wild Wings Hot Springs is a place to drink beer and watch sports — the wine list exists to technically have one, not to be used. Order a beer, order a cocktail, or bring your own if they allow corkage, but don't let the wine list be the reason you're here.

This is a margarita restaurant with a wine list that exists only so no one has to say there isn't one. Come for the fajitas and the frozen drinks — the wine is strictly last resort.

The wine list at Cheddar's Hot Springs exists because a restaurant has to have one, not because anyone gave it a second thought. Order a cocktail, enjoy the scratch kitchen, and save the wine conversation for somewhere else.

Olive Garden's wine list is the automotive equivalent of a rental car: it gets you where you're going, nobody's excited about it, and you return it without a second thought. Come for the breadsticks, drink the Chianti, and keep your expectations appropriately parked.

Red Lobster's wine program is exactly what it is — a chain afterthought with recognizable labels and pricing that won't actively insult you. Come for the biscuits, drink the Kim Crawford with your shrimp, and don't expect anything more.

You're not coming to Outback Hot Springs for a wine revelation, but the pricing is so surprisingly honest that ordering a glass feels less like a tax on your dinner and more like an actual choice. Lower your expectations on selection, keep them reasonable on value, and you'll leave fine.
