Wingman Metrics
The wine list here reads exactly like what it is: a hotel lobby bar menu assembled by a corporate purchasing team, not someone who cares about wine. Thirteen labels, heavy on recognizable brand names, light on anything that would make a Livermore wine lover feel at home. You are a five-minute drive from some of the best value Cabernet in California, and this list largely ignores that fact.
The list skews heavily toward crowd-pleasing anchors — Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger, The Prisoner, Justin Cabernet — which are fine wines but represent zero curatorial effort when you are sitting inside Livermore Valley wine country. There is a nod to local producers somewhere in the mix, but it is token at best, not a genuine commitment to the region. The Prisoner Red Blend at $105 and Taittinger Brut Rosé at $140 signal that this list is built for expense-account travelers who want something they recognize, not for people trying to drink well. Gaps are everywhere: no Chardonnay of note, no Pinot Noir, no real exploration of what makes this zip code special.
Twelve of the thirteen labels are available by the glass, which sounds generous until you look at the prices — $12 to $27 a pour for a list that tops out at Veuve Clicquot. The rotation appears fixed and uninspired; do not expect anything to change season to season. If you are ordering more than one glass, you are doing math that does not work in your favor.
Caposaldo Prosecco — $12/glass
At $12 a glass it is the least offensive price on the menu — easy, low-stakes, and the $48 bottle price is at least in the realm of reason for a hotel bar. Order a bottle if you are with a group and want to keep the tab from spiraling.
Mirabelle Brut, North Coast, California
Schramsberg's second label does not get the name recognition it deserves. It sits in the shadow of the Champagne heavy-hitters on this list, but it is a legitimate California sparkling wine with real craft behind it — and most guests will walk right past it to order the Veuve.
Taittinger Brut Rosé
At $140 a bottle in a hotel lobby bar, you are paying a serious premium for the privilege of drinking it under fluorescent lighting next to a check-in desk. Buy it at a wine shop for half that and drink it somewhere better.
Justin Cabernet Sauvignon, Central Coast + Flatbread
Justin Cab is ripe, fruit-forward, and built for casual drinking — it is not going to be challenged by a hotel flatbread, and that is exactly the point. At $19 a glass it is not a bargain, but it is the most food-friendly red on the list for what the kitchen is actually sending out.
❌ The Bottom Line
If you are already staying here and do not feel like driving, the Caposaldo Prosecco or Mirabelle will get the job done without too much damage. But this is Livermore — there are actual wine destinations within ten minutes that make this lobby bar look like it is not even trying.
Downtown Livermore · Livermore · Italian, Seafood, Grill
Strizzi's isn't a wine destination, but it does right by its neighborhood with local Livermore pours at fair prices. Send your friend here if they want a solid Italian dinner with a decent glass — just point them toward the Cab Franc.

Blue Agave Club is first and foremost a tequila destination, but the wine list earns its place by betting on local Livermore producers and sneaking in a wild card or two. If you're eating here and skipping the wine entirely, you're missing a cheap way to drink well in wine country.

Cattlemens Livermore is exactly what it advertises — a solid steakhouse wine list that won't wow you but won't let you down either. Grab the Rodney Strong, order the ribeye, and leave the bottle hunting for somewhere else.

Swirl on the Square isn't trying to be a destination wine bar and it doesn't need to be — it's the right place to drink local, eat small plates, and let a Tuesday night turn into something. Just order by the glass and skip the bottle markup.

The Dome Bar is a reliable hotel wine stop — the room is the main event and the wine list knows it. Send a friend here for the atmosphere and a glass of rosé, not for a serious wine exploration.

Hotel Vintage is the rare hotel bar that earns its wine-forward reputation — the Oregon focus is genuine, the nightly wine hour is a legitimate perk, and the list has more going for it than most lobby pours. Just go in knowing the markups are hotel-sized, and let the free evening pour soften the blow.
