Wingman Metrics
For a place with 'pig' in the name, the wine list walks in surprisingly confident. Fifty-three labels and 33 by-the-glass options is a serious commitment for a tavern-style spot in suburban Irving. This is not a list someone threw together on a slow Tuesday — there's actual intention here.
The list leans hard into California Cabernet, and it does it well — running from the approachable Rock N' Vine at $49 all the way up to La Sirena at $250, with serious stops at Shafer One Point Five and Chateau Montelena in between. The Pinot Noir section punches above its weight too, with Domaine Drouhin, Merry Edwards, and Kosta Browne giving you a proper West Coast-to-Oregon run. There's a nod to Texas terroir via William Chris Vineyards Skeleton Key, which is a smart local inclusion that a lot of similar spots wouldn't bother with. The list is thinner on Old World, European, and anything south of the equator — the Bodega Santa Julia Malbec and Casas del Bosque Pinot Noir are doing a lot of heavy lifting for the international contingent.
Thirty-three by-the-glass options is genuinely impressive — that's more than most full-service wine bars are pouring. The range spans $9 to $25, which gives you room to explore without committing to a bottle. We'd love to see more rotation, but the sheer volume means you're unlikely to get stuck with something boring.
Mettler Family Vineyards Old Vine Zinfandel — $52
Old vine Zinfandel from a Lodi family that's been farming since 1899 — this is concentrated, serious wine at a bottle price that doesn't make you wince. At $52, it's priced like an afterthought but drinks like a headliner.
Casteggio Red Frizzante
At $35, this is the lowest-priced bottle on the list and probably the most overlooked. A lightly sparkling Italian red is not what most people order at a tavern, but it's exactly the kind of playful, food-friendly pour that makes a meal more fun. Most tables will walk right past it — their loss.
Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon
Austin Hope is a fine wine, but at $115 a bottle you're paying a premium for a label that's everywhere right now. The markup feels steep relative to what's around it on the list, and you can do better — or more interesting — at similar price points.
Bodega Santa Julia El Burro Malbec + Pulled Pork or BBQ-style dish
A smoky, fruit-forward Malbec at $56 against whatever porky, slow-cooked thing the kitchen is running is a no-brainer. The wine's dark fruit and soft tannins hold up to the fat without fighting it.
The Bottom Line
Cork & Pig Las Colinas is a genuinely solid wine program dressed in tavern clothes — the by-the-glass depth alone earns it a bookmark. Don't let the name fool you; there's real thought behind this list.
· Irving · Wine Bar / Tapas
Clink punches above its suburban zip code — fair prices, an on-tap program that keeps pours honest, and just enough regional variety to make the list interesting. If you're in Irving and want a real glass of wine, this is where you go.

Las Colinas · Irving · Cajun / Southern
Po Melvin's is almost certainly cooking something worth eating — the wine list just isn't part of the experience. Order the Riesling or Prosecco if you want wine, otherwise stick to a cold beer or whatever's on tap.

The Blue Fish is a fun night out, and the food holds up — but the wine list is running on autopilot. Order the Mumm Napa, enjoy your rolls, and don't expect the list to surprise you.

Las Colinas / Toyota Music Factory · Irving · Modern American
The Henry Las Colinas isn't a destination for wine lovers, but it's a genuinely solid neighborhood option with fair pricing and a Tuesday half-price program that makes the whole conversation more interesting. Show up on a Tuesday, order the Jordan, and stop overthinking it.

Irving Mall Area · Irving · Cajun / Creole
Razzoo's Irving is a great place to eat Cajun food and drink cold beer — the wine program is incidental and treated as such. If your table insists on wine, the Prosecco is your safest exit ramp.

Grimaldi's is worth the trip for the coal-fired pizza; the wine list is not worth thinking about. Order the Chianti or the Nero d'Avola, don't look at the markup math, and focus on the pizza.
