You walk into a working winery's garden terrace expecting a gift shop pour and leave having actually learned something about California sparkling wine. The setting — manicured grounds, outdoor cabanas, afternoon light doing its thing — makes you want to linger longer than your reservation technically allows. This is not a restaurant wine list; it's a focused sparkling wine program that happens to serve food alongside it.
Chandon plays it narrow by design, and that's not a knock — the whole list is built around their Napa sparkling portfolio, from the entry-level Brut Classic to reserve and limited-edition cuvées that don't show up on most restaurant lists. You won't find Champagne, Crémant, or Cava here; if you came for diversity of region, wrong address. What you will find is genuine depth within a single producer's range — Blanc de Noirs, Blanc de Blancs, Rosé, étoile Rosé — enough to actually understand what Chandon is doing stylistically across different base wines and aging programs. The gaps are obvious (zero old-world, zero third-party producers), but this is a winery experience, not a wine bar, and it delivers on exactly what it promises.
Eight to fourteen pours by the glass puts this well above the average restaurant wine program in raw BTG count, and every single one is sparkling — which is either exactly what you want or a dealbreaker before you sit down. Tasting flights running $45–$90 are the real move here, letting you work through multiple cuvées side by side rather than committing to a single bottle. Glass pricing at $18–$35 is on the higher end, but you're paying for the setting and the education as much as the wine itself.
Chandon Brut Classic — $18/glass
The entry point to the whole lineup, and it holds up better than its price tier suggests. Clean, food-friendly, genuinely well-made California sparkling wine — not a filler pour.
Chandon Blanc de Noirs
Most people default to the Rosé when they want something with Pinot character, but the Blanc de Noirs is the more interesting wine — white-fermented Pinot Noir with a little more structure and grip than the approachable Brut Classic. Worth seeking out on the flight.
Chandon étoile Rosé
Beautiful bottle, elevated price, and it is a genuinely nice wine — but at the top of the price range, you're paying significantly for the prestige cuvée positioning. The Rosé and Blanc de Noirs give you most of the pleasure at a more honest number.
Chandon Blanc de Blancs + Oysters (seasonal terrace menu)
Chardonnay-dominant sparkling wine with lean acidity and a citrus backbone is the textbook call for raw oysters, and Chandon's Blanc de Blancs is sharp enough to actually cut through the brine rather than just coexisting with it.
🎲 The Bottom Line
If you're in Yountville and want to understand California sparkling wine from a single producer's perspective, this is genuinely one of the best rooms to do it in. Just don't show up hoping to branch out — Chandon is the whole menu, full stop.

It's not a deep list, it's not a bargain, but it's warm, well-executed, and a smarter afternoon than most of what's on Highway 29.

The JCB Tasting Salon is a one-house show — and if you're good with that, it's a well-run, beautifully staged one. The steep pricing and narrow scope keep it from Rager territory, but the cross-continental angle and proper sommelier guidance make it a legitimate Wild Card worth booking once.
