Walk into Bottle & Bond and it's immediately clear where the priorities lie — bourbon barrels, cocktail menus, and the full weight of Bardstown Bourbon Company's reputation. The wine list feels like it was assembled to cover a legal obligation rather than to excite anyone. Fourteen labels, all by the glass, which sounds generous until you look at what's actually on it.
The list covers the bases — California, Italy, New Zealand, Chile, Washington, Australia — but in the most paint-by-numbers way possible. You've got your Dashwood Sauvignon Blanc, your Wente Oaked Chardonnay, your Escudo Rojo Pinot Noir. These are perfectly fine, widely available bottles you could find at any grocery store with a decent wine section. There's no regional story being told here, no Kentucky producers making an appearance, and nothing that suggests anyone spent real time thinking about what wine drinkers might actually want. The Torbreck Woodcutter's Shiraz from Australia is probably the most interesting thing on the list, and that's a low bar.
All 14 wines are available by the glass in the $9–$12 range, which at least means you're not locked into a bottle commitment for a list this uninspiring. The pricing is fair — no gouging here — but rotation appears nonexistent, and there's no evidence anyone is curating or refreshing what's being poured. It's a static list doing the bare minimum.
Dashwood Sauvignon Blanc 2023 — $9
Dashwood is a reliable Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that punches above what you'd expect at nine dollars a glass. If you're going to order wine here, start here.
Torbreck Woodcutter's Shiraz 2022
Torbreck makes serious Barossa wines and the Woodcutter's is their entry point — but it's a legitimate entry point from a producer worth knowing. Most people at this bourbon-forward spot will walk right past it, which means you might actually get a proper pour if you ask.
Yes Way Rosé 2021
The Yes Way Rosé brand is essentially Instagram branding in a bottle — a 2021 vintage rosé in a lounge setting is a red flag for how long this list has been sitting untouched. There are better pours on this list for the same price.
Ciconia Vinho Verde + Bar snacks or charcuterie
If Bottle & Bond is doing any kind of light bites or snack boards, the Ciconia Vinho Verde's low alcohol and natural effervescence is going to cut through salt and fat better than anything else on this list. It's the most food-flexible option they've got.
❌ The Bottom Line
If you're at Bardstown Bourbon Company, drink bourbon — the wine list here is not the reason you came and it won't give you a reason to revisit. The pricing is fair and the pours are inoffensive, but this is a lounge that's made its priorities abundantly clear.

The Kitchen Table is first and foremost a bourbon experience, and the wine list knows its place in that pecking order. If you're on the Bourbon Trail with a wine lover in tow, this is a perfectly acceptable landing spot — just temper expectations, lean toward the Pinot, and let them order the whiskey flights.

The wine list at BBC Kitchen & Bar does exactly enough to keep non-bourbon drinkers comfortable, and not much else. Send your wine-curious friends here for the experience, but tell them to start with the bourbon.

The Rickhouse is a perfectly competent steakhouse wine list doing exactly what a steakhouse wine list in bourbon country is supposed to do — familiar names, heavy pours, and enough bottles to keep the table happy. Just go in knowing you're paying for the atmosphere and the ambiance of that historic cellar as much as what's in the glass.

The Geneva Inn Lounge isn't a wine destination, and it doesn't need to be — it's a waterfront spot with honest pours, fair prices, and a list that gets the job done without embarrassing anyone. Send your friends here for sunset drinks, not for a deep-dive tasting.
