Eighty-six labels sounds generous until you notice how much real estate the Champagne section takes up and how tightly the whites cluster around California Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The Chardonnay bench is genuinely strong — Kistler, Far Niente, Chateau Montelena, and Rombauer all showing up is not a fluke — but the list leans heavily into crowd-pleasing California names rather than reaching for Burgundy, Rhône, or anything that might raise an eyebrow. Sauvignon Blanc gets a surprisingly thoughtful treatment, with Merry Edwards and Craggy Range offering some real range alongside the obligatory Cakebread. The bubbles section is all the right houses — Krug, Dom Pérignon, Taittinger, Veuve — which reads more like a greatest-hits playlist than a curated program.
